Stihl SR 430 Backpack Mist Blower
The Stihl SR 430 Backpack Mist Blower is a powerful and fuel-efficient backpack sprayer that covers a large area. It is ideal for controlling mosquitoes, flies, and other pests in backyards, lawns, and other pest control situations.
The Stihl SR 430 Backpack Mist Blower, manufactured by Stihl, is a high-capacity backpack sprayer with a gasoline-powered engine that easily covers a large area.
Its pump also continuously mixes and agitates herbicides, fertilizers, or insecticides within the tank to help deliver a consistent application. With a single-lever control, it makes the simplest application procedures result in faster start-ups.
The Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower features a pressure pump that provides a consistent, even application regardless of the product's spray angle. It is also comfortable to wear, thanks to its anti-vibration system, soft rubber grips, and optional chest and hip belt accessory for even weight distribution during long jobs.
Tools Needed
To use this mist blower, you need to mix your choice of insecticide, herbicide, or fertilizer liquid into the sprayer tank.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much-diluted herbicide, fertilizer, or insecticide solution you need to apply in the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower. The tank holds 3 gallons. Depending on the size of your home or commercial building, the target pest or insects, and the solution you are using, you may need to fill the sprayer more than once.
- Step 2: Twist the cap off the lid's top and fill it halfway with water. After it is filled halfway, pour your chemical into the tank according to the proper application rates of your chemical solution. Read the fertilizer, herbicide, or insecticide label for directions before application into tank.
- Step 3: Agitate the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower and then top off the sprayer tank with the water required for proper mix.
- Step 4: To start the engine on the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower, set the setting to level 1 and press the manual fuel pump bulb at least five times. Securely place the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower on the ground and then pull the starter grip. Do not jerk it, or else you may break the string or the inner controls. The pull should be slow and smooth, unlike lawnmowers, which require a strong jerking pull.
- Step 5: Place the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower on your back and adjust the sprayer to the right setting before applying the spray to the target areas. When finished, power the sprayer down and store it in a cool, dry place.
Where to Use
The Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower should be used outdoors around yards, landscapes, and greenhouses to control mosquitoes and other pests or insects.
When to Use
Use the mist blower when you want a professional-quality spray applied around your home and lawn to prevent bugs and overwintering pests from intruding.
