The Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower features a pressure pump that provides a consistent even application, regardless of the products spray angle. The Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower is also comfortable to wears, thanks to its anti-vibrations system, soft rubber grips, and optional chest and hip belt accessory for even weight distribution during long jobs.
Tools Needed
To use the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower all you need is your choice of insecticide, herbicide, or fertilizer liquid to mix into the sprayer tank.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much diluted herbicide, fertilizer, or insecticide solution you need for an application in the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower. The tank holds 3 gallons. Depending on your homes or commercial building property size, target pest or insects, and the solution you are using you may need to fill the sprayer more than once.
- Step 2: Twist the cap off the top of the lid and fill it up halfway with water. After it is filled halfway, take your chemical of choice and pour it into the tank according to the proper application rates of your chemical solution. Read the fertilizer, herbicide, or insecticide label for directions before application into tank.
- Step 3: Agitate the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower and then top off the sprayer tank the rest of the way with water required for proper mix.
- Step 4: To start the engine on the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower, place the setting on level 1, and then press the manual fuel pump bulb at least five times. Place the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower securely on the ground and then pull the starter grip. Do not jerk it or else you may break the string or the inner controls. The pull should be slow and smooth, unlike lawn mower that require a strong jerking pull.
- Step 5: Place the Stihl SR 430 backpack mist blower onto your back and adjust the sprayer to the right setting before applying the spray to target areas. When finished, power the sprayer down and store in a cool dry place.
