B&G Square Nut SSL-167

The B&G Square Nut SSL-167 is made by B&G Equipment and is a seat stem nut located in the Extenda-Ban Valve assembly of B&G Primeline Sprayers. The seat stem nut is located between the seat stem and soft seat gasket of the brass extension wand.

When the Square Nut is worn, damaged or dirty it can effect the performance of the spray wand or cause a leak. Replacing the square nut can potentially stop the leaking and get your sprayer performing like normal.

Tools Needed

To remove and replace the Square Nut, you will need gloves and 2 wrenches to properly take apart the Extenda-Ban Valve Assembly to get to the part.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before starting, you will need to decompress the tank and flush out any chemicals that could be left in the wand. To flush out the tank simply add clean water to the tank and triple rinse. Once the tank is clean you will need a clean working area preferably a table to dismantle the unit due to the many small parts.
• Step 2: Using a wrench, detach the valve and extension from the hose then carefully unscrew the extension at the front of the valve. Remove the tip and nozzle assembly from the end of the extension and then push the cable out the front of the extension to expose the Spring, the square nut and the seat stem. 
• Step 3: Unscrew the seat stem and then remove the square nut. Screw on the nut square nut and then put the Extenda Ban Valve Assembly back together.
• Step 4: Add clean water to the tank and test the wand by simply spraying the unit.

Where to Use

The B&G Square Nut is used in B&G Sprayer wands with the Extenda-Ban Valve and it is located on the extension after removing the tip and nozzle assembly.

When to Use

The B&G Square Nut should be replaced when it becomes damaged or worn.

The B&G Square Nut is safe to install when done so according to Professional Sprayer's User Manual. Make sure to always work with a clean B&G tank and never with a tank full of chemicals.

Special Considerations

This is a small part and to get to the Square Nut you have to first unscrew other small parts.
