Sprint 330 Chelated Iron
Sprint 330 Chelated Iron is a high-performance iron supplement that ensures that iron remains available to plants resulting in better color, health, and quality in ornamentals and turf.
04/24/26
Sprint 330 Chelated Iron, manufactured by Basf, is a highly concentrated iron and water-soluble manganese combination that corrects iron deficiencies in plants growing in slightly acidic to moderately alkaline soils (up to pH 7.5).
It contains EDDHA chelated iron, which makes it far more effective and stable in challenging soil conditions, particularly alkaline or high pH soils. It’s a powdered micronutrient supplement that dissolves easily in water and gets to work fast once applied. Sprint 330 Chelated Iron gives you iron in a form that your plants can actually use - no matter what kind of soil you’re working with.
Sprint 330 Chelated Iron is a 10% fully chelated DTPA iron supplement that doesn't just offer a quick fix, but longer-lasting health improvements in turf and ornamentals.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a handheld spreader, push spreader, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Sprint 330 Chelated Iron to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For soil applications in turf, apply 1 lb. of Sprint 330 Chelated Iron per 1,000 sq. ft. For foliar applications to turf, use 2 to 4 oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. To make foliar applications to roses and flowering shrubs, apply 1 lb. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is mixed. For spreaders, be sure to calibrate to the proper settings. Load the correct amount of granules.
- Step 3: Apply evenly around the root zone of affected plants for soil applications. For foliar applications, apply to the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For plants grown in rows, soil applications are most effective when made as a band placed in the soil at planting time, or as a sidedressing shortly after plants emerge or after transplanting.
Where to Use
Sprint 330 Chelated Iron can be used in nurseries, gardens, landscape plantings, and turf.
When to Use
You can use it throughout the growing season.
