Spectre 2 SC
Spectre 2 SC
Spectre 2 SC, manufactured by Control Solutions, is a non-repellent insecticide that kills a variety of pests and provides a long-residual control of 4 weeks.
This low odor product contains the active ingredient chlorfenapyr 21.45%, which serves as a fantastic killer of pests like ants, cockroaches and bed bugs. The main active ingredient is undetectable to target pests, meaning they are not able to smell it, taste it, or more importantly avoid it allowing for a majority of infestation to come into contact with treated areas for total elimination.
Spectre 2 SC ensures total protection of treated areas such as packaging plants, but hooved animals as well.
Tools Needed
To use Spectre 2 SC you will need to mix the product into a tank sprayer (hand-pump, backpack). For larger jobs, use a professional pesticide spraying rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Spectre 2 SC to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas length and width in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For most general pest control applications, the recommended rate is 1.5 to 3 oz of Spectre 2 SC to 1 gallon of water depending on the infestation, level of concentration you desire and type of pest. 1 gallon of finished product will typically cover 1,000 sq ft.
- Step 2: Fill a sprayer tank halfway with the required amount of water and then add the appropriate amount of Spectre 2 SC to the sprayer and fill with the remainder of the water. Close the sprayer and shake it up so the product is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Apply the Spectre 2 SC mixed solution generously to target areas to control your pest issue. Change spray settings depending on where you are spraying (pin stream for cracks and crevices, fan stream for outdoor areas.
Where to Use
Spectre can be used both indoors and outdoors. When treating indoors for termites, ants, cockroaches, spiders and other common household pests, apply the diluted Spectre 2 SC solution with a coarse low-pressure spray directly into cracks and crevices where pests typically hide.
For outdoor treatments, focus your application on cracks and crevices surrounding doors, windows, eaves, attic vents, utility entrances and anywhere else insects might gain access into your home.
When to Use
Use Spectre 2 SC if you are looking to address a termite invasion or a broad range of other pest problems and want a product that is effective and fast-acting.
Safety Information
Spectre 2 SC is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep children and pets out of treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Remember that Spectre is intended for spot treatments and should not be used as a broadcast spray indoors or a full perimeter application outdoors. Apply Spectre no more than once every four weeks indoors and every 6 months outdoors.

Q:is it safe to use indoors when I have three cats?8/6/23A:It's safe. There is no toxic fumes or anything but while applications, be sure to watch out for pet food and water. I would also advise to lock the cats in a room or pen until the product fully drys. If you have more questions inbound refer you to the label. It's a document the epa puts out and gives directions and guidelines for multiple topics and situations.

Q:How well does this product work for bed bugs. How long does it take before bed bugs are completely gone ??6/27/23A:Spectre 2 SC is labeled to get rid of bed bugs within 4 weeks of application. Keep in mind bed bugs are a difficult pest to control due to their ability to hide in tight crevices and become quickly resistant to most insecticides. We recommend using this product in addition to several others for complete control. https://www.solutionsstores.com/bed-bug-control

Q:Can you spray this on furniture to treat bedbugs? Like underneath couches5/2/23A:Spectre 2 SC does not specify if it can be used on furniture, but it does state it cannot be used on mattresses and to thoroughly wash or avoid treated areas so based on this it would not be recommended to treat underneath your couch. To kill bed bugs that you can see, we recommend using Pyrid Insecticide Aerosol which can be sprayed underneath or behind furniture. For a residual effect against bed bugs, use D-Fense Dust Insecticide to repel and kill bed bugs in folds and tufts of mattresses, coils of springs, cracks and hollow posts of bed frames, and upholstery of chairs and sofas. Allow powder to remain in contact with folds and tufts of mattresses, chair and sofa upholstery for 4-6 hours, then thoroughly vacuum these treated areas, dispose of vacuum bag and place clean linens on bed. These products can be found in our DIY guide, but we recommend following along with the tips and steps for complete bed bug control. https://www.solutionsstores.com/bed-bug-control

Q:Can it be used for spider mites?3/13/23A:Spectre 2 SC will not control spider mites. We recommend using Supreme IT and a miticide like Abamectin 0.15 EC Miticide, which are both labeled to control spider mites. Keep in mind that spider mites are difficult to control due to their ability to become quickly resistant to insecticides and quickly reproduce in short time periods. For the first application, use Supreme IT then allow 90 days to pass for residual control against these pests. If pests are still active then it is possible this infestation is a new generation of spider mites that have become resistant to the past insecticide used. For this reason, you will need to switch from an insecticide to a miticide. Q:I submitted a question on Saturday but it has been deleted. My pest control service uses Phantom to control carpet beetles. This product has the same active ingredient as Phantom but I don't see carpet beetles listed under the target insects. Is this product effective on carpet beetles or is there another product that you recommend?7/23/18A:You're right, it isn't listed as a target insect on this product. As an alternative, we recommend Reclaim IT insecticide. It is labeled to control carpet beetles. https://www.solutionsstores.com/reclaim-it-insecticide
