Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait, manufactured by Southern Ag, is an enticing bait for insects that will help get rid of mole crickets, armyworms and other labeled pests around the outside of your home.

Formulated with carbaryl 5.0%, this effective insect bait is specifically designed to get rid of those pesky invaders that will over take your ornamental plants, lawns, and even vegetable gardens.

Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait, depending on the labeled vegetable, can even be applied up to 3-7 days before harvest.

Tools Needed:

To use Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait you will need a push spreader.

How to Use:

  • Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying those numbers together (length x width = square footage). To treat lawns or ornamental plantings, apply .75 to .9 lbs. of Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait per 1,000 sq. ft. For cucumbers, squash, or melons, apply .45 lbs of product per 1,000 sq. ft. For eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, garden beets, potatoes, radishes, turnips, and carrots, use .9 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: Once you have determined the proper amount of Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait you need, pour the measured amount into your spreader.
  • Step: Walk at an even and steady pace to distribute the Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait consistently throughout the target area. Cover soil evenly and uniformly around flowers, shrubs and trees. After making a complete application, Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait needs to be watered in when applied to the lawn or ornamental plants. You can reapply if needed. Do not apply more than 4 times per year on lawns or 3-6 times a year in vegetable gardens according to the label.

Where to Use:

Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait can be used in residential lawns, around ornamental plantings (flowers, shrubs, trees), and for labeled vegetables and other listed crops.

When to Use:

Apply Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait after lawns, ornamental plantings, vegetables, and other crops have been thoroughly watered and when pest activity is noticed. Application is permitted only within 30 days from the date of crop emergence or the date of transplanting for broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower.

For best results on lawns, cut the grass and remove the clippings then wait for 7 days before applying this product. Wait until 3 days have passed between final application and harvest (phi) for cucumbers, squash, melons, eggplant, peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and cauliflower. You will need to wait until 7 days have passed between final application and harvest (phi) for garden beet (roots), potatoes, radishes and turnip (roots), and carrots.

Safety Information:

Southern Ag Mole Cricket Bait is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when making applications.

Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until dusts have settled. Do not enter or allow others to enter treated lawns (except those persons involved in the application and watering) until the watering in is complete and until the surface is dry after the watering-in.

Special Considerations:

For best results, areas to be treated with Southern Ag Mole Cricket bait should be damp before application and be watered-in after application.
