How to Use

Spreading Granule Product

  • Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Magnesium Sulfate to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For palms, use 1/2 to 5 lbs of Southern Ag Magnesium Sulfate per tree depending on the tree height. For palms, use 1 lb of product for every 5 ft of height. (1/2 lb of product for palms shorter than 5 ft). For large trees and shrubs, use 1/2 to 1 lbs of product per 5 ft of canopy width. For roses, use 1-2 tablespoons of product per bush each time you fertilize. For lawns or large area treatment use, use 1/2 to 1 lb of product per 100 sq. ft. For vegetables, use 1/4 to 1 lb of product per 100 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: Calibrate your spreader to the proper ratio then load the measured amount of Southern Ag Magnesium Sulfate into the spreader.
  • Step 3: Take the measured amount of Southern Ag Magnesium Sulfate and apply evenly throughout the area and water in thoroughly to rinse any dry material off of foliage and down to the soil level.
  • Step 4: Wait 1-2 weeks then remove any damaged leaves.
