To use Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements, you will need a hand spreader, push spreader, or gloves for small applications in potted plant containers by hand.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For preventative treatment in flower beds, vegetable gardens, shrubs, and trees, use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements per 10 sq. ft or 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 lbs of product per 100 sq. ft. For curative treatment in flower beds, vegetable gardens, shrubs, and trees, use 1 cup of product per 10 sq. ft. or 10 cups (5 lbs) of product per 100 sq. ft. For potting soil for landscape and garden uses, apply 1-2 tablespoons of product per 3-gallon bucket, 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup of product per 5 gallons (20 quarts), or 2.5 to 5 lbs (10 cups) of product per cubic yard. For lawns and turfgrass, use 1/4 - 1/2 lb (1/2 - 1 cup) of product per 100 sq. ft. or 2 to 5 lbs of product per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates.
  • Step 2: Adjust your spreader to the proper calibration or put on a pair of clean gloves when applying and loading Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements.
  • Step 3: Be sure the foliage is dry before application. Take the measured amount of Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements and apply accordingly. Spread the product to garden areas or under the branch spread to the drip line for flower beds, vegetable gardens, shrubs, and trees. For potting soils for landscape and gardens uses simply mixing it thoroughly in. Applications to lawns and turfgrasses will be done by spreading it evenly over the soil surface. Sweep material off of all driveways, sidewalks, and masonry surfaces before applying water.
  • Step 3: After Southern Ag Essential Minors Element application water the granules in. Reapply as needed but not exceed 4 times per year.

Where to Use

Southern Ag Essential Minors Elements can be used on the soil or under the branch spread to drip line of flower beds, vegetable gardens, shrubs, and trees. It may also be applied to dry turfgrass and lawns.
