Tools Needed
To use Southern Ag Chelated Palm Nutritional, you will need to use either a handheld pump sprayer, spray rig, or backpack sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Southern Ag Chelated Palm Nutritional by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For foliar treatment on palms, Southern Ag Chelated Palm Nutritional should be mixed at a rate of 1 to 2 tablespoon per gallon of water or 1.5 to 3 quarts per 100 gallons of water. For a soil treatment on small palms, use 1 oz. of material in at least one half gallon of water per tree. For soil application on medium sized palm trees, use 2-4 oz. of product in at least one gallon of water per tree. For soil application on large palms, use 4-8 fl. oz. of product in at least 1 gallon of water per tree. For foliar applications on ornamentals, shrubs, and trees, apply 1 tablespoon of product per gallon of water or 1.5 quarts of product per 100 gallons of water. For soil applications around ornamentals, shrubs, and trees, use 1 fl. oz. of product in 1 gallon of water per 100 sq. ft.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank to 2/3 of the desired amount of water, add Southern Ag Southern Ag Chelated Palm Nutritional, and add the remaining amount of water. Agitate until mixed well.
- Step 3: Apply Southern Ag Southern Ag Chelated Palm Nutritional to the desired treatment area. For foliar treatment on palms, thoroughly wet the fronds to the point of runoff, also spray some of the material directly into the heart of the palm. For soil applications around palms, treat the root area, this area usually extends out as far as the foliage. Curative applications should be repeated in 14 days for palms. Preventative maintenance applications should be made at 3-4 month intervals for palms. For foliar applications on ornamentals, shrubs, or trees, thoroughly cover upper and lower surfaces of foliage to the point of runoff. For soil applications on flower beds and vegetable gardens, treat the bed area. For soil applications on shrubs and trees, treat the root area.
