Smokeshow Herbicide
Smokeshow Herbicide is a unique and fast-acting post-emergent herbicide that controls broadleaf and grassy weeds, including sedge weeds in Bermudagrass turf and industrial vegetative management.
12/15/25
Smokeshow Herbicide, manufactured by Quali-Pro, is a powerful, water-dispersable granule herbicide that quickly eliminates over 60 types of weeds in residential and commercial lawns, athletic fields, and other non-crop sites.
Due to its selective formulation, it works on weeds such as crabgrass, chickweed, and clover without damaging surrounding turf making it easier to use for the average applicator. Another advantage of Smokeshow Herbicide is its 2 modes of action, which help to reduce the likelihood of weeds resisting treatment, leading to better weed control.
Smokeshow Herbicide is an easy-to-store and mix selective herbicide that gives homeowners and turf management professionals maximum control over stubborn and troublesome weeds.
Tools Needed
This product will need to be applied with a handheld sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or boom sprayer.
Applications by helicopter are permitted on railroad rights-of-way only.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To control weeds in warm-seasoned turf, use 0.138 to 0.689 oz. of Smokeshow Herbicide in 0.5 to 4.0 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 6-30 oz. of product per 20-175 gallons of water per acre. Only broadcast applications can be done in industrial vegetation management sites. For broadcast applications in industrial vegetation management areas, use 9.5-14.4 oz. of product per 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, then add in the proper amount of product. Allow the product to fully disperse, then add half the remaining water. Stir or shake the mixture thoroughly to ensure the herbicide is evenly distributed in the water. Apply the Smokeshow spray mixture immediately after mixing.
- Step 3: Spray the entire weed, including the top and bottom of their leaves, but not to the point of runoff. A second application can only be done if you perform a split application with the first treatment. If you have done so, then a second application will be done when 35 days have passed after the first treatment.
