Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant

Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant, manufactured by Aquatrols, is a long-lasting, professional-grade soil surfactant that breaks through water-repellent soils to deliver consistent moisture exactly where roots need it - deep and evenly. With up to 90 days of performance per application, it helps reduce localized dry spots, improve turf resilience, and maximize the value of every irrigation cycle.

Formulated with propoxylated polyethylene glycols, it outperforms traditional surfactants by maintaining effectiveness even under drought or climatic stress conditions, making it ideal for large turf areas like golf courses and athletic fields. This results in enhanced moisture absorption, deeper root development, and overall improved turf health.

Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant is a superior, economical soil surfactant that outperforms the competition in providing more consistent management of water repellency and will not break under climatic stress or drought conditions like traditional long-term products.

Tools Needed

A handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose-end sprayer, or spray rig can be used. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For long-term control, apply 16 oz. of Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant per 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For control beyond 3 months, a subsequent application of 8 fl. oz. of product per 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. may be required for extended performance through the fall period. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill your sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Ensure uniform coverage across the treatment area. After application, irrigate the treated turf with 1/3 inch (7.5 mm) of water. 

Where to Use

Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant can be used on turfgrasses such as those found on golf courses, athletic fields and in lawn and landscape situations to enhance turf quality and the efficient use of water, labor, and other inputs.

When to Use

It may be safely applied at any time during the turf's growing season. 

Safety Information

Sixteen 90 Soil Surfactant is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Special Considerations

Begin applications at least one month prior to the onset of stress conditions. Under high stress situations, such as presence of localized dry spot (LDS), above average growing degree days (GDD), and/or low rainfall, an application of Aqueduct should be applied 7 days prior to the first application of Sixteen 90.

This product does not replace fertilizers.
