Simazine 90DF Herbicide
Simazine 90DF Herbicide, manufactured by Drexel, is an impressive preemergent that controls a wide variety of broadleaf and grassy weeds in agricultural crops and ornamental plantings.
The active ingredient Simizine 90.0% controls photosynthesis in plants which prevents weeds from growing, and any seedlings that do emerge will turn yellow and die shortly thereafter.
Simazine 90DF Herbicide has a long-lasting residual for continued weed suppression.
Tools Needed
To use Simazin 90DF Herbicide, you will need to mix the product in a sprayer of your choosing such as a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or professional spray rig for large-volume applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Simazine 90 DF Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take your square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For turfgrass applications for fairways, lawns, and sod production you will need 0.4 to 0.8 ounces of Simazine 90DF Herbicide in one gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For acreage, you will need 1.1 lbs of the product in 15 gallons of water per acre.
- Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer tank with half of the required amount of water then add the measured amount of Simazine 90DF Herbicide. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with the remaining water. Close the tank and shake it till the product is well mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the target weed with the Simazine 90DF Herbicide mixture, making sure to get even coverage via a fan spray setting.
