04/12/26
Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide, manufactured by Sepro, is a unique systemic, selective aquatic herbicide that provides targeted, economical, and selective control of aquatic plants in a way that liquid sprays and older ester granules simply can’t match in ponds, lakes, and other water sites.
isn’t just another granular herbicide — it represents a formulation technology breakthrough. It delivers selective, systemic control of broadleaf aquatic weeds using a dimethylamine salt of 2,4-D, carried on a patented, biodegradable granule designed to transport the active ingredient directly to the submerged plant zone. In short, Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide puts the herbicide where weeds actually live not where it can drift, volatilize, or break down prematurely.
Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide represents a true advancement in aquatic weed management. Its precision delivery, lower fish toxicity, reduced sensitivity to water pH, and lack of swimming restrictions make it an excellent choice for professionals and property managers seeking dependable results without unnecessary risk.
Tools Needed
A boat or power sprayer can be used.
Use a fertilizer spreader or mechanical seeder such as the Gerber or Gandy or other equipment capable of uniformly applying this product to larger areas.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide you will need to treat your water body. To do this, calculate the surface area by measuring (in feet) the surface length and the width, and then dividing by 43,560 to get the surface acreage. For typical conditions, apply 32.7 pounds of Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide per 1 acre of surface acre with a depth of 1 feet. Refer to the product label for specific application and restrictions. Applications to a target area are limited to two per season.
- Step 2: Load the granules directly into a fertilizer spreader, mechanical seeder (such as a Gerber or Gandy), or other suitable equipment, then distribute evenly using a boat or power equipment.
- Step 3: Begin treatment along the shore and proceed outwards in bands to allow fish to move into untreated areas. Waters having limited and less dense weed infestations may not require partial treatments.
Where to Use
Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide can be used in ponds; lakes; reservoirs; marshes; bayous drainage ditches; non-irrigation canals; and rivers and streams that are quiescent or slow-flowing.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are present.
