Use a fertilizer spreader or mechanical seeder such as the Gerber or Gandy or other equipment capable of uniformly applying this product to larger areas.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide you will need to treat your water body. To do this, calculate the surface area by measuring (in feet) the surface length and the width, and then dividing by 43,560 to get the surface acreage. For typical conditions, apply 32.7 pounds of Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide per 1 acre of surface acre with a depth of 1 feet. Refer to the product label for specific application and restrictions. Applications to a target area are limited to two per season.
• Step 2: Load the granules directly into a fertilizer spreader, mechanical seeder (such as a Gerber or Gandy), or other suitable equipment, then distribute evenly using a boat or power equipment.
• Step 3: Begin treatment along the shore and proceed outwards in bands to allow fish to move into untreated areas. Waters having limited and less dense weed infestations may not require partial treatments.

Safety Information

Sculpin G Aquatic Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying and handling this product. 

There are no restrictions on the use of treated water for recreational purposes, including swimming, fishing and domestic purposes.

There are no restrictions on consumption of treated water for potable use by livestock, pets, or other animals.

DO NOT enter or allow people (or pets) to enter the treated area until the dusts have settled.

Special Considerations

Do not use treated water for irrigating greenhouse or nursery plants unless 2,4-D concentrations are confirmed to be less than 1 ppb by laboratory analysis.
