Sanmite Miticide Insecticide
Sanmite Miticide Insecticide is a commercial-grade wettable powder that delivers fast-acting, long-lasting contact control of mites and whiteflies on flowers, ornamental plants, and foliage crops.
11/04/25
Sanmite Miticide Insecticide, manufactured by Gowan, is an effective, wettable powder miticide that delivers rapid knockdown and lasting control of mites and whiteflies on commercial ornamental plants grown in greenhouses and outdoors.
Mite infestations can spread rapidly, often going unnoticed until significant plant damage has occurred. Sanmite Miticide Insecticide active ingredient Pyridaben quickly disrupts the nervous systems of mites and whiteflies, stopping them in their tracks. This rapid knockdown is essential for preventing pests from reproducing and spreading further.
Sanmite Miticide Insecticide is a specialized contact miticide that helps commercial growers maintain healthy, vibrant plants while protecting their bottom line. With its lasting 3 to 4 week activity, commercial applicators don’t have to reapply constantly, saving on labor costs and chemical usage.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or other commercial sprayer can be used.
How to Use
- Step 1: Apply 4 to 6 oz. of Sanmite Miticide Insecticide per 100 gallons of water. Use a total spray volume of 50 to 400 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 21.3 oz of product per acre, per year for ornamentals and foliage crops grown in greenhouses and outdoors. Do not make more than 2 applications per crop per year for greenhouse tomatoes or greenhouse cucumbers.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Since Sanmite works through contact action, thorough coverage is critical. Pay special attention to the undersides of leaves, where mites and whiteflies tend to hide. Spray until foliage is evenly wet, but avoid excessive runoff.
