SA-20 Disinfectant is manufactured by Southern Agricultural Products and is a general disinfectant used for the control of mildew, fungal, bacterial, and viral plant pathogens, bacteria, and fungus on leaf rots, slime forming fungi and odor-causing bacteria and algae. It can be applied to a number of areas for both indoor and outdoor use.

Tools Needed:

This product can be applied in many different ways including traditional cleaning methods such as a drench, soak, or dip. It can also be sprayed with a handheld sprayer. Use whichever method is most effective for your desired treatment area.

How To Use:

• Step 1:  Identify the area you intend to treat, and what method you will be used to treat it. It may be necessary to clean the area first if there is a large amount of mildew or other contaminants. You will also need to determine how much product you need to mix in water. For disinfecting, 1.5 oz. of SA-20 should be mixed per 5 gallons of water or 1 tbsp. per 1 gallon of water if using a gallon sprayer. For controlling fungal disease on commercial lawns you will need to use 1 to 2 tbsp. per gallon water and treat at a rate of one gallon of solution to 50 square feet (5 ft. x 10 ft.) of the lawn. The amount varies depending on whether you are treating golf course greens and tees or commercial turf.
• Step 2:  Mix the product in a sprayer with the appropriate amount of water and then spray it as a coarse spray. Treat the entire lawn to prevent the spread of infection, saturating the entire area, and wetting all plant and soil surfaces. For disinfecting work areas and tools, spray a coarse spray 6 to 8 inches away from the surface and leave wet for at least 10 minutes and allow the disinfectant to air dry.
• Step 3: Repeat spray application every 10 to 14 days as needed to control new or established fungal diseases.

Where To Use:

SA-20 Disinfectant was made specifically for greenhouse use but can be used to disinfect work areas and benches, pots, flats, cutting tools, and flower buckets. It can be used to control algae on greenhouse glass and house plants and can be used to control fungal diseases on lawns, golf courses, and commercial turf.

When To Use:

Use SA-20 Disinfectant to disinfect areas or to control fungal diseases, algae, molds, and other contaminants from an area either when they first show signs of forming or after an infestation. Fungal disease treatment of turfs and greens is recommended during the warm growing season and must be made when the lawn is dry or damp but not during wet, rainy weather.

Safety Information:

SA-20 Disinfectant is safe to use when applied according to label directions. It is important to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) anytime you are handling, mixing, or applying this product. It is important to note when treating algae that this product is toxic to fish.
