Ridesco WG Insecticide

Ridesco WG Insecticide, manufactured by BASF, is a fast-acting water-dispersable granule insecticide that combines two active ingredients to control a broad-spectrum of pests, resulting in a quick and efficient impact on infestations. 

With the two modes of action, the dinotefuran and alpha-cypermethrin will target the nervous system of pests such as ants, cockroaches, mosquitoes, and more at two different levels. As a result of these various effects, the odds will be significantly lessened for pests to become resistant to the product. 

Ridesco WG Insecticide is a flexible-use insecticide that provides a significant control rate against pests with one simple application and rate. Due to the advantage of one application rate, this product greatly decreases possible application errors and makes it simpler to mix and apply. 

Tools Needed

It will need to be applied with a handheld sprayer, backpack sprayer, power sprayer, or spray rig. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Ridesco WG Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). A general application will use 19.0 grams of Ridesco WG Insecticide in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: When diluting, first fill the spray tank halfway with water. Add the appropriate rate of product to the spray tank. Fill in the tank the rest of the way with the remaining half of the water and agitate thoroughly. 
• Step 3: Spray the mixture as a spot, crack and crevice and treatment, or perimeter application. For a perimeter treatment, spray 2 feet up the building or structure and the surrounding soil around it at least 7 feet wide. Reapplications may be made at 7-day intervals. For a broadcast application, which can only be done to yards, lawns, fields, parks, cemeteries, landscaping, and structures, simply spread the product evenly across the area, but not to the point of runoff.

Ridesco WG Insecticide can be used in and around commercial, industrial, residential areas, buildings, agricultural buildings; airports; animal confinement buildings and pens; apartments; cafeterias; calf hutches; calving pens and parlors; campgrounds, churches; commercial buildings; convenience stores; cruise ships; dairy areas; milking parlors; day care centers; dog kennels; egg laying facilities; food handling facilities; food processing plants; food storage areas; food vendors; garbage receptacles and corrals; grain mills; granaries; health care facilities; hog barns; homes; horse barns and arenas; hospitals; hotels; industrial buildings; landscapes; lawns; libraries; malls; meat packing plants; milkhouses; motels; museums; nursing homes; ornamental plants; outdoor living areas; poultry houses; rabbit hutches; recreational areas; resorts, restaurants and other Food handling establishments; schools; supermarkets; terminals; theme parks; trailers; transportation equipment (buses, boats, ships, trains, trucks, and planes – cargo areas only); utilities; washrooms; and warehouses.

When to Use

Apply this product when pest infestations are first noticed and avoid outdoor applications when rainfall is expected within the next 24 hours after treatment. 

For best management practices against flies, initiate treatments at the beginning of the fly season and repeat during periods of heavy fly activity, but not more than twice per week. Applications must be at least 7 days apart. For best management practices, spray in the early morning when flies are resting.

Safety Information

Ridesco WG Insecticide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

Keep people and pets out of the treatment area until the spray has completely dried. 

Special Considerations

Not for use with truck-mounted cold aerosol ULV sprayers, handheld cold aerosol ULV sprayers or thermal fogging devices. Do not apply by aircraft.

This product is toxic to bees exposed to residues for more than 38 hours following treatment.
