Regulate Select
Regulate Select
Regulate Select, manufactured by Prime Source LLC, is a systemic fungicide that delivers exceptional control of certain diseases in various sites such as turf, ornamentals, greenhouses.
The formulation is water-based, making Regulate Select a low odor chemical that can mix well with other chemicals and fertilizers.
Regulate Select works both through contact action with the root system, as well as systemic movement through the entire plant. This combination works quickly and effectively to stop and prevent diseases like pythium blight and root rot.
Tools Needed
To use Regulate Select, you will need either a hose end sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig. For the typical residential treatment or a small spot treatment, we recommend a handheld 1-gallon pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Regulate Select to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment site. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment site in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). To find acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). Foliar applications on turf, use 0.5 to 1 oz. of Regulate Select per 1 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Soil surface spray for ornamental foliage plants and flowers, use 1.00 oz. of product per 1 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Soil surface spray on azaleas and woody ornamentals, use 1.25 to 2.50 oz. of product per 1 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Soil surface spray on non-bearing citrus in nurseries and landscape plantings, use 1 gallon of product per 50 gallons of water per acre. Soil surface applications in conifers in nurseries and plantations including Christmas trees, use 0.63 to 1.25 gallons of this product per 50 gallons of water per acre.
- Step 2: To mix Regulate Select within a sprayer, pour half the amount of water into the spray tank then add measured amount of product, and finally pour remaining half of water. Close the lid to the spray tank and shake to sufficiently mix. Maintain agitation throughout application until all of mixture has been sprayed.
- Step 3: Spray the mixed solution to the soil surface around the plant until wet to reach target plant root zone, but do not overlap. For best efficacy irrigate with at least 1/2 inch of water within 24 hours after treatment. Follow-up applications for azaleas, conifers, woody ornamentals, foliage plants, can be made every 2 to 4 months. For flowers, retreat 1 to 2 months after treatment. Retreat turf, when 10 to 21 days have passed after application.
