QuinKill Max Crabgrass and Weed Killer
QuinKill Max Crabgrass and Weed Killer
QuinKill Max, bt Agrisel, is a post-emergent weed killer. QuinKill Max is formulated with the powerful active ingredient Quinclorac to gain control of hard to kill grassy and broadleaf weeds, like crabgrass, dandelion, and clover.
QuinKill Max can be used in most cool and transitional grasses, such as fescue, Bermuda, Zoysia grass and more. After application, QuinKill Max will be absorbed by the targeted weeds and translocate through the plant. After several days, sprayed weeds will begin to exhibit leaf and stem curling and will eventually die.
QuinKill Max is easy to mix and use as either a broadcast spray or a spot treatment. It can be used in various sites, including residential lawns, for fast and effective weed control.
Tools Needed:
To apply QuinKill Max, you will need either a handheld sprayer, backpack sprayer, a hose end sprayer, or a professional spray rig for large volume applications. For most general applications, a handheld or backpack sprayer is recommended.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much QuinKill Max you will need by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Do this by measuring the length and width, and then multiplying them together (length x width = square feet). Spot treatments, use 1.45 oz. of QuinKill Max Crabgrass and Weed Killer per 0.5 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Broadcast applications, apply 64 oz. of product per 20 gallons of water per acre. For example, if you measured an area of 1,750 sq. ft., then you would need to use 2.54 fl. oz. of product.
- Step 2: Mix your solution by first filling your sprayer halfway with water. Pour in the required amount of QuinKill Max based on your calculations. Fill your sprayer the rest of the way with water, and then shake the sprayer to ensure even mix.
- Step 3: Spray your QuinKill Max solution evenly over the treatment area. It is best to use a low to medium spray pressure, using a flat fan or cone nozzle setting for uniform coverage. Spray weeds to the point of wet, not runoff. Do your best to avoid overlaps that will increase rates above those labeled for use.
Where to Use
QuinKill Max can be applied to residential and non-residential turf grasses, including but not limited to grounds or lawns around residential and commercial establishments, multifamily dwellings, military and other institutions, parks, airports, roadsides, schools, picnic grounds, athletic fields, houses of worship, cemeteries, golf courses, and sod farms.
When to Use
Apply QuinKill Max on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift and when rain is not in the immediate forecast for at least 24 hours. It is best to apply at the start of the growing season in either early spring or early fall when weeds are actively growing and not yet fully established in the turf.
Safety Information
QuinKill Max is safe to use around children and pets when applied following label directions. Be sure to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when applying. Keep all people and pets off the treated area until dry.
Special Considerations
Remember that QuinKill Max is recommended for use on cool season or transitional grasses. Do not use QuinKill Max on warm season grasses, such as St. Augustine grass, centipedegrass, Bahiagrass, carpetgrass, or where desirable clover or dichondra is present.
