Tools Needed

Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide comes ready to use with no other application tools needed.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Shut off all exhaust fans and close all windows, doors and ventilators. Prepare a 3 foot plant free zone in which to place container. Determine how much Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Use 1 Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide canister per 3,000 sq. ft. of greenhouse or areas smaller than 3,000 sq. ft. For greenhouses with tough to control insects, 2 product containers per 3,000 sq. ft.
  • Step 2: Elevate the Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide so that the top of the can is above the top of the plant canopy. Make sure spray is unobstructed by foliage or other physical objects in order to obtain maximum distribution of product. Common practice is to place the container on a stool or overturned pot to elevate it to allow for unobstructed release to treat hanging baskets, an empty basket can be used to hold the container and elevate it to the hanging basket level.
  • Step 3: Hold the Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide container facing away from the body and depress the actuator until it is locked down. Place the container in the plant-free zone and quickly leave the treatment area. If activating more than one container in the treatment area, begin at the end farthest from the door, and place containers as the applicator moves towards the exit door. Once all containers have been activated, immediately leave the treatment area and close the door. Use low volume horizontal air flow or have fans off for a minimum of 4 hours or overnight.
  • Step 4: Initially, make 2 applications of Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide 1 week apart. Additional applications may be made at 2 week intervals as long as immature insects are present or adult egg-laying is expected. Depending on the severity of the insect infestation, the product can be applied 1 to 3 times per week.

Where to Use

Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide can be applied to bedding plants, containerized plants, cut flowers, evergreens, flowering plants, foliage plants, ground covers, growing crops, and ornamental trees and shrubs in commercial greenhouses.

When to Use

Apply Pyrethrum TR Total Release Insecticide when foliage is dry and greenhouse temperatures are between 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It would be best to use this product when pest or damage typical of indicated pest is observed.
