B&G PS-276-SS Plunger Lock Spring
B&G PS-276-SS Plunger Lock Spring
PS-276 Pump Lock Spring by B&G Equipment Company is specifically sold for use as a replacement part for B&G sprayers. The Pump Lock Spring goes inside the pump cap with the pump handle threaded through both the cap and the spring.
Tools Needed
To use this part, you will need the appropriate B&G Sprayer to replace the part on and possibly a pair of pliers or a crescent wrench if the parts are tightly secured.
How to Use
- Step 1: Following the directions that come with your sprayer on replacing parts, remove your pump assembly from the sprayer tank. You should then twist off the pump handle to separate it from the pump cap which will reveal the pump lock spring
- Step 2: After removing the old pump lock spring, place the new Pump Lock Spring in it's place by twisting it to attach it to the pump cap.
- Step 3: Put your Pump Assembly back together and attach it back to the sprayer tank. Test the sprayer now to see if it is now spraying properly and you are set.
Where to Use
The Pump Lock Spring is meant to be used only to replace on a B&G handpump sprayer such as the N124 and similar models. There are other models it can also fit.
When to Use
Replace the check valve when it has been damaged or you are experiencing a dip in spray quality. How often this part is changed depends on how often you use the sprayer. You may need to just change it once a year or even quarterly for heavy use sprayers.
Safety Information
Be sure to wear gloves when handling the B&G sprayer parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the filter. Be sure to properly drain and clean the sprayer parts before performing maintenance. Keep small items like this check valve out of reach of pets and children.
Special Considerations
Along with the Pump lock spring, it would be wise to replace all the other small parts on the B&G Sprayer rather than just the one. Set a maintenance schedule for your sprayer and change out all the parts in one shot to save time so your B&G sprayer is back in good condition.
