Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide
Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide is a next-generation post-emergent herbicide that delivers superior control of broadleaf and grassy weeds in cool- and warm-season turf.
10/04/25
Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide, manufactured by Prime Source LLC, is a fast, effective post-emergent herbicide that controls stubborn broadleaf and grassy weeds in residential and non-residential turfgrasses.
It features exclusive H-Value Technology that boosts the active ingredient quinclorac absorption for faster, more effective control of weeds like crabgrass even at the tough mid-tiller stage, while performing reliably under drought and rainfast conditions. While crabgrass is the star target, Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide also controls a wide range of grassy and broadleaf weeds such as crabgrass, foxtail, and clover that can invade turf, giving applicators more bang for their buck.
Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide is a successful post-emergent herbicide that tackles broadleaf and grassy weeds in cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned turf, parks, airpots, golf courses, and more. With patented absorption technology and faster weed kill, it enhances lawn appearance and performance while improving compatibility with other herbicides for flexible, professional-grade results.
Tools Needed
A backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Do not mow 2 days before or after applying this product. Determine how much Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For spot and broadcast applications, apply 1.10 to 1.45 fluid ounces of Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For broader applications, use 48 to 64 fl. oz. of product per 20 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 128 fl. oz. of product per acre (or 2.9 fl. oz. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.) in 1 year.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. For best results, do not water or irrigate for 24 hours after application.
Where to Use
Prime Source Quintessential Herbicide can be applied to residential and non-residential turfgrasses.
