Pivot IGR, manufactured by Control Solutions Inc., is an insect growth regulator that contains pyriproxyfen and is effective on various tough to control insects such as, fleas, ticks, cockroaches, flies, and mosquitoes.

This liquid product works by interrupting the reproductive cycle of the targeted insects. Pivot IGR is sunlight resistant for up to 2 weeks which makes it effective in controlling insects on turfs and lawns. It is safe to apply to indoor areas as well, such as furniture, carpets, and animal kennels.

When combating insects that are hard to control, Pivot IGR is a great weapon to have. It stops the breeding cycle that allows for a faster elimination process.

Pivot IGR

Tools Needed

To apply Pivot IGR a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, hose end sprayer, or professional skid sprayers is needed.. For residential use, we recommend that you use either a 1 - gallon handheld pump sprayer or a hose end sprayer depending on the coverage area you are treating.

How to use

Applying IGR

  • Step 1: Mix Pivot IGR in a handheld pump sprayer at a rate of 1 oz - 5 oz with 1 gallon of water. (mixing ratio may vary depending on the insects and the area you are covering along with what type of sprayer you are using.)
  • Step 2: Add a synthetic insecticide with the Pivot IGR if desired.
  • Step 3: Shake the spray tank to mix well.
  • Step 4: Spray the mixed solution on label approved areas. We recommend that you repeat this application every 6 to 7 months.

Where to Use

Pivot IGR can be used indoors and outdoors of commercial, residential, and agricultural setting. It can be appled on furniture, animal kennels, poultry houses, and on carpets. It is ideal to use Pivot IGR in hospitals, food warehouses, non-food warehouses, schools, and more. It can be applied on turfs, lawns, patios, porches, and other surface areas where targeted insects live and breed.

Applying IGR

When to Use

We recommend using this product as a preventative treatment to keep heavy infestations from developing. Best time to treat with Pivot IGR is early to mid-Spring and again mid to late-Summer. This will help control the pests and keep the population down for a longer period of time.

Safety Information

Pivot IGR is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label directions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment when mixing or applying. Allow treated areas to dry before re-entry.

Special Considerations

Pivot IGR is not an insecticide and will not kill insects. Pivot IGR can be mixed with a label approved insecticide so that the breeding cycle will stop and targeted insects will also die with the same treatment.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do- stops the cycle: when combined with Bifen, 2 applications spaces 10 days or so apart means no skeeters for a month. 2 or 3 applications over the summer means next year you have almost none. With Zika fears this is a great system.

  2. Q:When can you go back in the house after treating it with Pivot 10?
    10/15/17
A:I spray my house in sections. I do not leave. As soon as the carpet is dry then you and/or family and pets can be on it. Usually takes 2-3 hours depending on weather/humidity and fans going etc for carpet. Hope this helps! I use it with another chemical not just an IGR for fleas.
