Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is an effective combination of Insignia Fungicide and Trinity Fungicide in a granular form to control over 25 turf diseases in turfgrasses.
Features a combination of 2 popular active ingredients pyraclostrobin 0.38% and triticonazole 0.43%, which delivers effective control of diseases such as pathogen and brown ring grass within 14 days of application.
Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide provides fast control of diseases and aids in plant health by increasing the root length and density. As a result, turf treated with this product can better handle stress management like drought, moisture, and extreme temperature conditions.
Tools Needed
Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide will need to be applied with a spreader equipment commonly used for ground applications like a push spreader or broadcast spreader.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Apply Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide at the rate of 3 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. of turfgrass. Do not make more than 5 applications per year at the use rate of 3 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. (131 lbs. of product per acre). In short, do not apply more than 15 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft. per year.
- Step 2: When it's time to apply Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide, calibrate the spreader according to the product label. Once your spreader is loaded with the proper amount of Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide you can then begin to apply.
- Step 3: Evenly distribute Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide by walking back and forth across the treated area being careful to avoid overlap. If applying in two different directions then calibrate your spreader to deliver half of the product in each pass.
Where to Use
Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide can be applied to turf use sites such as golf courses, institutional lawns, commercial lawns, residential lawns, sod farms, parks, recreational areas, sports fields, and cemeteries.
Do not use this product on crops intended for food or feed use.
When to Use
Use Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide before disease symptoms develop such as when soil temperatures reach 60 degrees Fahrenheit in early spring to summer or in the fall before snowfall.
Safety Information
Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not let people or pets enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Pillar G Intrinsic Brand Fungicide will control minor disease outbreaks, but is best used as a preventative treatment.
