PermaCap CS

PermaCap CS, manufactured by BASF, is a high-performance microencapsulated insecticide concentrate that delivers fast knockdown and long-lasting residual control of 30 to 60 days in one powerful application against a wide range of pests. 

It is formulated with capsule suspension (CS) technology. This means tiny capsules of permethrin are suspended in liquid and adhere to surfaces then release the active ingredient slowly over time. Apply with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or truck-mounted sprayer. 

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much PermaCap CS to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). When treating indoor residential sites, use the 0.5% dilution. To achieve the 0.5% dilution, mix 2 2/3 fl. oz. of PermaCap CS with 1 gallon of water. For outdoor perimeter treatments, use 2 2/3 fl. oz. of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. 
• Step 3: To make a perimeter application, spray 3 feet up the structure and 6 to 10 feet wide around the building. Apply as a spot or crack and crevice treatment to other insect entry points such as doors, windows, under siding, and eaves of the structure.
• Step 4: Repeat as necessary, but not more than twice per week. Treatments must be at least 3 days apart.

PermaCap CS can be used in and around Apartments, Calf Hutches, Calving Pens and Parlors, Campgrounds, Empty Chicken Houses, Dairy Areas, Dog Kennels, Hog Barns, Homes, Horse Barns, Hospitals, Hotels, Milkrooms, Motels, Non-Food Areas of (Food Storage Areas, Grain Mills, Granaries, Meat Packing Plants, and Supermarkets), Transportation Equipment (Buses, Boats, Ships, Trains, Trucks, Planes† ), Utilities, Warehouses, Commercial, Institutional, and Industrial Buildings. 

When to Use

Apply at any point in the year, but best used preventatively during the spring and summer before pest populations become active. 

Safety Information

PermaCap CS is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

When applying as a surface spray, do not enter or allow others to enter until sprays have dried.

Do not treat pets with this product. 

Special Considerations

Do not apply directly to impervious horizontal surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, and patios except as a spot or crack, and crevice treatment.
