Perm-X 31-66 is a synergized pyrethroid insecticide that delivers a quick kill of mosquitoes and other flying insects in and around a residence or commercial areas. The product comes ready to use with a low-odor and can be applied in various ways such as as an Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Thermal or Non-thermal aerosol (Cold Fog). This version of Perm-X contains twice as much PBO and Permethrin as other formulations which help to make the product even stronger against flying pests.
Tools Needed
To use Perm-X 31-66 you will need to input the insecticide into a ULV or Thermal fogger, preferably on a truck-mounted spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: While Perm-X UL 31-66 can be applied undiluted, dilution with a suitable mineral oil may be necessary for certain applications. Common dilution ratios include 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 (Perm-X UL 31-66 to mineral oil). For example, a 1:4 dilution requires mixing 1 part Perm-X UL 31-66 with 4 parts mineral oil.
- Step 2: For proper ground application, mount the fog applicator so that the nozzle is at least 4 ½ feet above ground level and directed out the back of the vehicle. May be applied at speeds of 5 mph up to 20 mph.
- Step 3: Begin treating the infested areas where the flying pests gather to knock them down and keep them away.
Where to Use
Perm-X UL 31-66 should used as a ULV thermal or non-thermal aerosol using ground or aerial equipment in areas including: residential, recreational areas, parks, campsites, woodlands, athletic fields, golf courses, municipalities, playgrounds, and non-crop waste areas and over listed growing crops and range grasses prior to harvest for the control of adult mosquitoes and biting flies within or adjacent to these areas.
When to Use
Use when you are encountering irritating mosquitoes and flying insects around your home or managed property. Prime times are between the spring and fall seasons. Treat when mosquitoes or insects are most active and weather conditions are conducive to keeping the fog close to the ground, e.g. cool temperatures and wind speeds not greater than 10 m.p.h.
