Pennant Magnum Herbicide smooth and consistent rate of weed control provides commercial applicators results within 30 days of application without the fear of harming ornamentals and other foliage.
Tools Needed
Pennant Magnum Herbicide can be applied with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Pennant Magnum Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the soil texture in your nurseries and landscape planting you will use either: 14-21 ml of Pennant Magnum Herbicide in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 1.3-2.0 pints of product in 10 gallons of water per acre for coarse and medium soils. For fine soil textures in nurseries and landscape plantings use 21-28 ml of product in 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. or 2.0-2.6 pints of product in 10 gallons of water per acre. For warm-seasoned turfgrass and commercial St. Augustinegrass sod production, apply 1.3 to 2.6 pints of product in 10 gallons of water per acre.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half of the amount of water, add measured amount of Pennant Magnum Herbicide, then fill the rest of the way with water. Maintain agitation in the spray tank until all of the solution has dissolved and been applied to the treatment area.
- Step 3: Apply the Pennant Magnum Herbicide mixture uniformly to the soil, but not to the point of runoff. To avoid plant injury, do not apply this product to seedbeds, cutting beds, or unrooted cuttings before transplanting or to plants until the soil has firmly settled around roots. When this product is applied broadcast over-the-top of plant foliage, follow with sufficient overhead irrigation to wash Pennant Magnum from the foliage to reduce the chance of injury. Irrigate with 1/2 inch of water if rainfall does not occur within 7 days after treatment.
Where to Use
Pennant Magnum Herbicide can be used in nurseries, commercial and residential warm-seasoned turf, and landscape plantings. Noncrop land, including, but not limited to the following: airports, roadsides, golf courses, sports fields, public recreational areas, ornamental gardens, cemeteries, other landscaped areas can be treated with this product. This product may also be used in and around container and field-grown ornamentals, nonbearing nursery stock, and on sod farms.
Do not use in greenhouses or other enclosed structures.
When to Use
Apply Pennant Magnum Herbicide before grass, broadleaf weeds, or yellow nutsedge emerge, or after existing weeds or nutsedge plants have been removed.
On coarse-textured soils, make applications approximately 14 days prior to planting.

Pennant Magnum Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Q:Does Pennant magnum have an expiration date?4/21/24A:Pennant Magnum does not have an expiration date. In an unopened container they should last indefinitely. Once you open it up i generally tell people use it in 2 years. Once you MIX it with water then use it up in 24-48 hours as chlorine is water supplies can vary.
