Pendulum AquaCap, manufactured by BASF, is a water-based herbicide that has proven effective in controlling various grassy and broadleaf weeds. It is microencapsulated and absorbed through the roots.
Pendulum AquaCap controls 21 of the most common unwanted grasses and 25 of the most troublesome broadleaf weeds. With the right timing for treating your turf grass or ornamentals, Pendulum can help make your landscape weed-free.
Tools Needed
To use this product, you will need a backpack, tank, or hand sprayer. A handheld pump sprayer would be ideal for smaller applications.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Pendulum AquaCap to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Fill a handheld pump sprayer with Pendulum AquaCap at a rate of 1.1 to 2.3 ounces per 1,000 square feet.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the water, add the measured amount of product, and fill the rest of the way with the remaining half water. Agitate the sprayer until mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the product onto your lawn or other area where you want to control problematic weeds. Make sure to set the sprayer on a fan setting to get nice, uniform coverage.
- Step 4: Reapply as needed to control weeds before they emerge.
Where to Use
Pendulum AquaCap can be used on residential lawns, golf courses, and garden or ornamental plants.
When to Use
Timing is crucial when using Pendulum AquaCap. Since the product is pre-emergent, it must be applied before the problem emerges, especially if it's been a reoccurring problem. If the weed is already growing, Pendulum AquaCap will not work (unless on select weed types), and you will have to use a post-emergent herbicide.
Safety Information
Pendulum AquaCap is safe to use around children or pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing or applying this product.
Wait until 24 hours have passed before allowing children, pets, and workers to reenter treated areas.
