Pegasus DFX Fungicide
Pegasus DFX Fungicide
Pegasus DFX Fungicide is a highly effective contact fungicide that controls and prevents a wide array of diseases on turf and ornamentals.
Pegasus DFX Herbicide, manufactured by United Phosphorous, is a next generation water-dispersible granule fungicide that eliminates and prevents key diseases in non-residential turf, sod farms, and golf courses.
Fungal diseases reduce ornamental profit and turf quality by lessening yield and harvesting efficiency. Plant loss due to harmful pathogens are serious and can equal or exceed the losses associated with reduced yield. Chlorothalonil, this product's active ingredient, is very effective at stopping fungal spore germination.
Pegasus DFX Fungicide greatly suppresses diseases with no known resistant issues and enhances overall aesthetic appearances of turf and ornamentals like shrubs, trees, and flowering plants.
Tools Needed
To apply Pegasus DFX Herbicide, you will need to use a spray rig, chemigation equipment, or aircraft application equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Pegasus DFX Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For ornamental plants, use 1.25 lbs. of product per 100 gallons of water. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of Pegasus DFX Fungicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Shake the spray tank until is it well-mixed.
- Step 3: Cover all plant parts with spray to the point of wet, but not runoff. DO NOT mow or irrigate after treatment until spray deposit on turfgrass is thoroughly dry. Refer to the label for specific retreatment interval as it will vary with each area.
Where to Use
Pegasus DFX Fungicide can be used for conifers, turfgrasses, and ornamental plants (in greenhouses and outdoors).
Do not use on home lawns and turf sites associated with apartment buildings, daycare centers, playgrounds, playfields, recreational park athletic fields, athletic fields located on or next to schools (i.e., elementary, middle and high schools), campgrounds, churches and theme park.
When to Use
Apply Pegasus DFX Herbicide before disease appears on foliage during the months of spring and before the snow falls in autumn.
