Payload Herbicide
Payload Herbicide is an effective long-lasting, broad-spectrum herbicide that prevents and eliminates broadleaf and grassy weeds in non-crop areas.
12/06/25
Payload Herbicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is a high-performing pre- and post-emergent herbicide for professionals who need consistent and extended results against various weeds in non-crop areas such as parking lots, fence rows, and more.
It isn’t just another water-dispersable granule product; it’s a herbicide with advanced residual power, versatility in use sites, and reliable results on more than 100 weeds. The longevity of control outperforms many other herbicides, especially in harsh environments.
Payload Herbicide is a top-tier solution designed to control a wide variety of annual grasses, broadleaf weeds, and other unwanted vegetation before they even emerge. With its broad-spectrum control, long-lasting residual, and excellent tank mix compatibility, it provides land managers, municipalities, and industrial applicators with a cost-effective, efficient, and powerful tool for reducing weed pressure over time.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Payload Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For pre-emergent control in bareground treatment in non-crop areas, use 8-12 oz. of Payload Herbicide per 10 gallons of water per acre. For post-emergent control in bareground treatment in non-crop areas, apply 8-12 oz. of product per 10 gallons of water per acre with 1 quart of surfactant per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Agitate the solution until mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff.
Where to Use
Payload Herbicide should be used in non-crop areas.
When to Use
For pre-emergent control, apply before weeds appear. For post-emergent control, make applications when weeds reach a height of 2 inches.
It is rainfast 1 hour after application.
