Patriot WDG Herbicide, manufactured by Nufarm, is a water-soluble granule herbicide that offers both contact and residual control, destroys existing weeds, and keeps late flushes down for four to six weeks.

This carefully crafted formulation, containing Metsulfuron Methyl, ensures minimization of collateral damage to desirable plants while achieving maximum weed control.

Patriot WDG Herbicide offers both post-emergent and pre-emergent weed control and is gentle on desirable turf, even during sensitive transitional times.

Tools Needed

To use Patriot WDG Herbicide, you will need to mix the product into a sprayer of your choosing such as a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or a professional spray rig for large volume applications.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Patriot WDG Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take your square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). For hardwood plantations, use 2 oz. of Patriot WDG Herbicide in 100 gallons of water per acre. Applications for grass establishment in pasture, rangeland, and CRP will use 1/10 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre. Early postemergence to new plantings or postemergence to stands with 1-5 leaf grasses planted the previous season for pastures, rangelands, and CRP will need to apply 1/10 oz. of product with 2 to 4 pints of non-ionic surfactant in 100 gallons of water per acre. For non-agricultural sites, apply 1/3 to 4 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre depending on the weed. For non-crop industrial sites, use 1/2 to 2 oz. of product in 100 gallons of water per acre. For specific application rates it would be best to refer to the product label.
• Step 2: Fill your selected sprayer tank with half of the required amount of water and then add the measured amount of Patriot WDG. Fill the sprayer the rest of the way with remaining half of water. Close the sprayer and shake it until the product is well-mixed.
• Step 3: Spray the target weed and surrounding soil, making sure to get even coverage via fan spray setting. Results will begin to yield in 7-21 days after application.

Where to Use

Use Patriot WDG Herbicide to control labeled annual and perennial weeds and unwanted woody plants on private, public and military lands, on rights-of-way, industrial sites, non-crop areas, ditch banks of dry drainage ditches, certain types of unimproved turf grass, and conifer and hardwood plantations, including grazed areas on these sites.

When to Use

Patriot WDG Herbicide should be used on establish turf when certain broadleaf weeds are present. Patriot WDG acts as both a pre and post emergent and is safe to use year-round, even in stressful conditions.

Safety Information

Patriot WDG Herbicide is safe to use around pets and children when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Do not use chlorine bleach with ammonia to clean your sprayer after use, as dangerous gases will form. Do not clean equipment in an enclosed area

Special Considerations

For certain targeted weeds, Patriot WDG is best used with a tank mixer such as 2, 4-D Amine.
