Parallel PCS Herbicide
Parallel PCS Herbicide
Parallel PCS Herbicide, manufactured by Adama (subsidiary of CSI), is an excellent selective herbicide that controls the growth of development of germinating weeds in various agricultural and commercial crops.
Formulated with the active ingredient metolachlor 86.4%, which provides complete weed control of germinating weeds such as crabgrass and small emerged stages of broadleaf weeds within 30 days.
Parallel PCS Herbicide is a strongly effective pre-emergent herbicide that can tackle a broad-spectrum of grassy and broadleaf weeds all the way to roots without harming desired crops.
Tools Needed
To apply Parallel PCS Herbicide, you will need to use either a spray rig, chemigation system (center pivot irrigation), or a self-propelled sprayer like the Ag-Chem RoGator, Hagie, John Deere Hi-Cycle, Melroe Spra-Coupe, Tyler Patriot, or Willmar Air Ride.
This product can be mixed with water or fluid fertilizer.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Parallel PCS Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cotton crops, use 0.75 to 1.0 pint of Parallel PCS Herbicide in 100 gallons of water per acre on sandy loams, 1.0 to 1.33 pints of product in 100 gallons of water per acre on medium soils, or 1.0 to 1.33 pints of product in 100 gallons of water per acre on fine soils. For pod crops with coarse soils with less than 3% organic matter, apply 1.0-1.33 pints of product in 100 gallons of water per acre or 1.33 pints of product per acre if organic matter is 3% or greater. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water or liquid fertilizer, add the proper amount of Parallel PCS Herbicide, then add the rest of the water or liquid fertilizer. Provide sufficient agitation during mixing and application to maintain a uniform emulsion.
- Step 3: Broadcast the mixed Parallel PCS Herbicide to the soil and thoroughly incorporate with a disk or similar implement set to till 4-6 inches deep. For more thorough incorporation, till the soil in 2 different directions (cross-till) for pre-plant treatments. For pre-emergent applications, spray the mixed product after planting listed crops then irrigate within 7-10 days after application.
Where to Use
Parallel PCS Herbicide can be used in cotton, peanuts, pod crops, potatoes, safflower, grain or forage sorghum, soybeans and tomatoes.
Do not use in nurseries, turf, or landscape plantings.
When to Use
Apply Parallel PCS Herbicide when labeled areas are free of weeds and climates have low relative humidity at the time of application.
Do not apply in cut areas of newly leveled fields, or in areas of excess salt.
Safety Information
Parallel PCS Herbicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not graze or feed peanut forage or fodder, soybean forage, hay, or straw to livestock for 30 days following application.
