Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (8-9M) Lo-Start, manufactured by ICL Specialty Fertilizer, is a slow-release granular fertilizer that delivers critical npk nutrients and secondary nutrients to a wide variety of sensitive and high value crops growing during the fall or in late-developing spring crops.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (8-9M) Lo-Start you will need measure the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). To find the cubic yard, measure the length, width, and depth of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together and then divide the total by 27 (length X width X depth = total / 27 = cubic yard). Depending on the plant container sizes and how many there are in the treatment area will vary in application rates so it would be best to refer to the product label. To treat 539 6" azalea / hibiscus (1.5 qt.), you will use either 7, 11, or 15 grams of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (8-9M) Lo-Start per cubic yard. For large containers measuring 10 gallons with a 17 inch diameter, apply 133, 204, or 282 grams of product per 1.4 sq. ft. Landscape applications will use 13 lbs. of product per 1,000 sq. ft.
• Step 2: Load the measured amount of Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (8-9M) Lo-Start into the spreader then make the spreader it calibrated as instructed in its product manual.
• Step 3: Apply the Osmocote Plus 15-9-12 (8-9M) Lo-Start as either a top-dressing to the surface of soil or mix it thoroughly into soil, but make sure the product is not against the plant stem or on its leaves. After application, lightly water the product in.
