Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer, manufactured by ICL Speciality Fertilizer, is a specially formulated topdress fertilizer that ensures optimum nutrient release to ornamental plant pots and small trees that tend to blow over easily.

This easy to apply product contains contains poly-s miniprill granules, mini resin-coated granules, coated minor nutrients and uncoated minor nutrients to help bind the fertilizer to the surface helping to reduce waste.

Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer provides fragile plants with a quick boost of energy with its balanced 19-6-9 npk ratio and continue to feed commercial nursery grown plants for 5-6 months.

Tools Needed

To apply Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer, you will need a handheld spreader. A measuring spoon not intended for cooking reuse may be used, but is recommended for small singular container treatment plans.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area (length X width = square footage). Depending on the size of the container and how many there are per area will determine application rates so it would be best to refer to the product label. To treat 300 of common trade 1 gallon containers per cubic yard, you will use either 6, 12, or 16 grams of Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer per container. For larger containers such as 10 gallon with 17" diameter with a surface area as large as 1.4 sq. ft., apply either 63, 126, 165 grams of product per surface area. Other larger containers not listed on the label, you will need to multiply the actual container surface area in sq. ft. by these rates: 45, 90, or 118.
• Step 2: Put on a pair gloves, then load your selected handheld spreader with the proper amount of Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer. You may also use a measuring spoon (not intended for cooking reuse).
• Step 3: Pour the Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer over the soil surface in container until a thick arch shaped pile is formed. After application, light water-in granules. Depending on the climate in your region will determine when to reapply this product.

Where to Use

Use Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer on the outside container surface of the top surface of soil in containers of established container-grown nursery plants like arborvitae and small trees.

This product is intended to be topdressed in arc-shaped piles on the surface of the media away from the plant’s stem.

When to Use

Apply Osmocote Blend 19-6-9 (5-6M) Fertilizer on nursery plants and small trees when fully established.

If it is 70 degrees Fahrenheit, reapply 5-6 months. For 80 degrees Fahrenheit, retreat every 4-5 months. When it is 90 degrees Fahrenheit, retreat every 3-4 months.
