Orvego Fungicide
Orvego Fungicide
Orvego Fungicide, manufactured by BASF, is a effective preventative fungicide that quickly stops the spread of all major phytopthora species and downy mildew on greenhouse and nursery crops within seconds.
Features a unique combination chemistry with the active ingredients ametoctradin 26.9% and dimethomorph 20.2% that combats diseases during the early stages with little fungi resistance.
Orvego Fungicide provides multi-disease control on various plant species and shows excellent plant safety on a wide range of ornamentals.
Tools Needed
To apply Orvego Fungicide, you will need a sprinkler irrigation, hydroponic or chemigation system.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Orvego Fungicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area (length X width = square footage). For acerage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For foliar spray applications on field-grown and containerized ornamental and nursery plants, use 14 fl. oz. of Orvego Fungicide per 100 gallons of water. Do not apply more than a total of 56 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per crop per year for outdoor sites. For indoor uses, do not make more than 4 applications of product per crop per season.
- Step 2: In a separate container, mix Orvego Fungicide before pouring into selected system. Fill the container with half the amount of water, then add measured amount of Orvego Fungicide. Pour remaining half of water into the tank and shake until solution is mixed. Pour the mixed solution according to the system manual instructions.
- Step 3: Adjust spray systems to deliver large droplets of mixed Orvego Fungicide solution. Thoroughly spray plant foliage until runoff.
Where to Use
Orvego Fungicide can be used on field-grown and containerized ornamental and nursery plants in greenhouses, lathhouses, shadehouses, hardwood and conifer nurseries or plantations, ineriorscapes, and outdoor or field nurseries.
When to Use
Apply Orvego Fungicide before diseases appear on ornamentals. When making applications outdoors, avoid applying this product when rainfall is expected to occur 48 hours after application.
Safety Information
Orvego Fungicide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Do not allow people or pets to enter treated areas until 24 hours have passed after application.
Special Considerations
Do not connect an irrigation system (including greenhouse systems) used for pesticide application to a public water system unless the pesticide label-prescribed safety devices for public water systems are in place when using Orvego Fungicide.
