Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide is manufactured by MGK and is an insecticide concentrate that is effective in providing long-lasting residual control of an array of different household pests like bedbugs and fleas. The active ingredient of esfenvalerate is enclosed in capsules and it's released slowly over a period of time, making it kill long after treatment. Another great thing about Onslaught is the different use sites it can be applied on. You could use it indoors, outdoors, broadcast treat rugs and carpeting and it is safe enough to use in food handling areas.

Tools Needed

To apply Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide you can use a backpack sprayer, a hand-pump sprayer or a spray rig for large volume applications.

How to Use

Spraying Onslaught barrier treatment around a home.

  • Step 1: Determine how much Onslaught you will need to mix to treat your target application site by calculating the square footage. To do this, measure (in feet) and multiply the area length times the width (length x width = square footage). Onslaught can be mixed at a rate of 0.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. for light infestations or 1.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For example, if you have a heavy infestation and 3,000 sq. ft. of area to treat, you would need to mix 3.0 fl. oz. of Onslaught in 3 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Shake the bottle of insecticide well before diluting then fill the spray tank halfway with water before adding the proper amount of Onslaught concentrated solution based on your calculations. Add the rest of the water required for the proper dilution and agitate the tank before spraying and periodically during applications.
  • Step 3: Apply Onslaught as a broadcast surface spray, crack and crevice treatment, or inject into wall voids. After the infestation has died out, you can spray quarterly for continued control.

Where to Use

Spraying Onslaught indoors around kitchen

Onslaught can be used indoors or outdoors to residential, commercial and industrial infrastructures such as homes, schools, warehouses, office buildings, apartment buildings, theatres, hotels, industrial buildings, motels, kennels, livestock housing, food processing plants, food service establishments, restaurants, supermarkets and grocery stores, transportation equipment, truck trailers, railroad cars, and food manufacturing and warehousing establishments. Also for use on backyards, lawns, trees, ornamental landscaping, recreational areas, parks and athletic fields.

For indoor use, Onslaught can be sprayed in cracks, crevices, under appliances, around doors, windows, baseboards, attics and basements.

For outdoor use, Onslaught can be used as a perimeter treatment around homes and other building structures. It can be sprayed around the outside of doors and windows, on patios, porches, barns, in weep holes, and wall voids around plumbing, landscapes, bushes, and wood structures. It can also be injected into slabs of concrete such as driveways or sidewalks.

When to Use

Onslaught is a slow-acting residual insecticide that is also lethal when insects come in physical contact with it. This makes it more effective when used as a prevention method, but can be used as a treatment method as well. Depending on which outdoor insect is being controlled, will depend on the time of day the product should be applied. Do not make outdoor applications during rainy weather.

Safety Information

Onslaught is safe to use around humans and pets when used according to the product label. Before mixing and applying, make sure you have on the proper PPE (gloves, protective eyewear, safety mask , etc). Wait until applications are dry before allowing people and pets back into the treated area.

Special Considerations

DO NOT use this product as a fogger or apply it as a space spray. Do not apply in electrical conduits, junction and switch boxes, motor housings, or other electrical equipment due to shock hazard from water-based spray.

not sure I really wanted to give you a wonderful review if this worked.
This has not got rid of my fungas gnats. I've been emailed about it but I don't think I was sold the correct product. She was talking about my plants and how much and how often I used the product. I threw the plants out months ago when I couldn't get rid of them.
