Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide, manufactured by MGK, is an insecticide concentrate that effectively provides long-lasting residual control of various household pests, including bedbugs and fleas.

Esfenvalerate's active ingredient is enclosed in capsules, and it's released slowly over some time, killing long after treatment.

Another great thing about Onslaught is the different sites on which it can be applied. It can be used indoors, outdoors, and in broadcast treat rugs and carpeting, and it is safe enough to use in food handling areas.

Tools Needed

You can use a backpack sprayer, a handheld pump sprayer, or a spray rig for large-volume applications.

How to Use

Spraying Onslaught barrier treatment around a home.

  • Step 1: Determine how much Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the treatment areas' length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Onslaught can be mixed at a rate of 0.5 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. for light infestations or 1.0 fl. oz. per gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For example, if you have a heavy infestation and 3,000 sq. ft. of area to treat, you would need to mix 3.0 fl. oz. of Onslaught in 3 gallons of water.
  • Step 2: Shake the bottle of insecticide well before diluting it. Then, fill the spray tank halfway with water before adding the proper amount of onslaught concentrated solution based on your calculations. Add the rest of the water required for the appropriate dilution and agitate the tank before spraying and periodically during applications.
  • Step 3: Apply Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide as a broadcast surface spray, crack and crevice treatment, or inject into wall voids. After the infestation has died out, you can spray quarterly for continued control.

Where to Use

Spraying Onslaught indoors around kitchen

This product can be used indoors or outdoors in residential, commercial, and industrial infrastructures such as homes, schools, warehouses, office buildings, apartment buildings, theatres, hotels, industrial buildings, motels, kennels, livestock housing, food processing plants, food service establishments, restaurants, supermarkets and grocery stores, transportation equipment, truck trailers, railroad cars, and food manufacturing and warehousing establishments. It is also suitable for use in backyards, lawns, trees, ornamental landscaping, recreational areas, parks, and athletic fields.

For indoor use, Onslaught can be sprayed in cracks, crevices, under appliances, around doors, windows, baseboards, attics and basements.

For outdoor use, Onslaught can be used as a perimeter treatment around homes and other building structures. It can be sprayed around the outside of doors and windows, on patios, porches, barns, in weep holes, and wall voids around plumbing, landscapes, bushes, and wood structures. It can also be injected into slabs of concrete such as driveways or sidewalks.

When to Use

This product has a slow-acting residual insecticide that is also lethal when insects come in physical contact with it. This makes it more effective as a prevention method but can also be used as a treatment method.

The time of day the product should be applied will depend on which outdoor insect is being controlled. Do not make outdoor applications during rainy weather.

Safety Information

Onslaught Microencapsulated Insecticide is safe to use around humans and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

Wait until applications are dry before allowing people and pets back into the treated area.

DO NOT use this product as a fogger or apply it as a space spray. Do not apply it to electrical conduits, junction and switch boxes, motor housings, or other electrical equipment due to the shock hazard from water-based sprays.
