On Deck Herbicide
On Deck Herbicide is a fast-acting post-emergent herbicide that controls a wide range of broadleaf weeds and brush in various farmstead areas, fencelines, forests, and other non-crop areas.
09/07/25
On Deck Herbicide, manufactured by Helena, is a superior broad-spectrum post-emergent herbicide that hits fast, lasts long, and works in tough conditions against broadleaf weeds and brush in various non-crop and turf-adjacent areas.
Boasting an optimized ratio of 2,4-D acid and dicamba acid, this ester-free, solvent-less formula uses Moveo enhancement to reduce odor, boost uptake, and improve environmental stewardship. The result? You get a one-two punch that controls over 200 broadleaf weed species, including stubborn ones like Canada thistle, curly dock, wild carrot, pigweed, and cocklebur.
On Deck Herbicide is a straightforward systemic herbicide that provides consistent results in large-scale treatment areas with minimum application rates, making it an economical solution. With its innovative dual-acid blend, Moveo technology, and flexible application profiles, it's ready to deliver precision, peace of mind, and results - time after time.
Tools Needed
You will need a backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much On Deck Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For cool-seasoned turf in lawns, turfgrasses, golf courses, parks, and cemeteries use 0.75 to 1.0 fluid ounces of On Deck Herbicide per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 square feet. For warm-seasoned turf in lawns, turfgrasses, golf courses, parks, and cemeteries apply 0.55 fluid ounces of product per 1 gallon of water per 1,000 sq. ft. To make spot treatments, apply 2/3 fluid ounces of product with 1 gallon of water. Do not apply more than 2 applications per year. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restricitons.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the recommended rate of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weed leaves and stems until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Do not apply with a nozzle height greater than 4 feet above the crop canopy. Under dense populations, a second application may be needed the following growing season.
Where to Use
On Deck Herbicide can be used in general farmstead areas; forest management; roadsides, rights-of-way, industrial sites, and similar non-crop areas.
Do not treat areas where either possible downward movement into the soil or surface washing may cause contact of this product with the roots of desirable trees and shrubs.
Avoid contacting desirable trees, shrubs, flowers, or vegetables since plant injury may result.
When to Use
Apply when weeds are present on days when temperatures are below 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
Safety Information
On Deck Herbicide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of the treated area for 48 hours after application.
Special Considerations
It may cause injury to desirable trees and plants, particularly beans, cotton, flowers, fruit trees, grapes, ornamentals, peas, potatoes, soybeans, sunflowers, tobacco, tomatoes, and other broadleaf plants when contacting their roots, stems, or foliage.
Do not apply to newly seeded areas until grass is well established and has been mowed several times. A period of about 30 days after application is usually a sufficient interval before reseeding grasses (or other plants).
