Oberon 2 SC Insecticide Miticide

Oberson 2 SC Insecticide Miticide, manufactured by Bayer Crop Science, is a specialized suspension concentrate insecticide miticide that offers exceptional protection against some of the most destructive pests in agriculture and ornamental production. 

It’s powered by the unique active ingredient Spiromesifen, a tetronic acid derivative that interferes with lipid biosynthesis in targeted pests, ultimately stopping their growth and reproduction. By halting development during these early life stages, it breaks the reproductive cycle, reducing long-term population pressure.

Oberson 2 SC Insecticide Miticide is a low-use rate systemic insecticide that provides multi-stage pest suppression, ensuring applicators' unmatched reliability in managing hard-to-control pests on high-value crops.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much Oberon 2 SC Insecticide Miticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). For fruiting vegetables (except Cucurbits), apply 8.5 fl. oz. of Oberon 2 SC Insecticide Miticide per 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions. 
• Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed. 
• Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Allow at least 48 hours to pass before irrigating any treated areas.

Oberson 2 SC Insecticide Miticide can be used for listed field crops and vegetable crops.

When to Use

Apply when pest activity occurs on days when rainfall is not expected to occur for at least 48 hours after application.

Safety Information

Oberon 2 SC Insecticide Miticide is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product. 

The pre-harvest intervals must be followed and will vary with each crop. For this information, it would be best to look at the label. 

Keep people and pets out of treated areas for 24 hours after application.

Rotational plant back intervals are as follows:

Immediate plant-back: Cotton, Field Corn, Pop Corn, Sweet Corn, Fruiting Vegetables, Leafy Vegetables, Cucurbits, Tuber Vegetables (Potatoes), Strawberry

30-day plant-back: Alfalfa, Barley, Bulb vegetables (crop group 3-07), Oat, Sugarbeets, Wheat.

12-month plant-back: All other crops.
