NP-277 Polypropylene Cup by B&G Equipment Company is specifically sold for use as a replacement part for B&G sprayers. This poly cup is an important part of the pump assembly as it helps the sprayer to generate air pressure while spraying. If damaged, the tank will lose spraying pressure which is why its important to regularly replace them.

Tools Needed

To use this part, you will need the appropriate B&G Sprayer to replace the part on and possibly a pair of pliers or a crescent wrench if the parts are tightly secured.

How to Use

polycup assembly

  • Step 1: Take the pump assembly out of the sprayer tank and begin to take it apart. You can refer to the repair manual instructions for details on how to specifically do this.
  • Step 2:After taking apart the assembly, remove pump rod and take off the old poly cup from the end of the rod. There will be two half inch nuts that you will need to pry off to get the spreader plate off and then the old plastic cup and then you place the new poly cup on there.
  • Step 3:Tighten the bolts and put your B&G Sprayer back together and you are back in business.

Where to Use

The poly cup is meant to be used only for replacement on a B&G handpump sprayer such as the N124 and similar models. There are other models it can also fit.

When to Use

Replace the poly cup when it has been damaged or you are experiencing a dip in spray pressure quality. How often this part is changed depends on how often you use the sprayer. If it is heavily used, the part wears and tears quicker. Typically at minimum we suggest changing it out annually.

Safety Information

Be sure to wear gloves when handling the B&G sprayer parts, as there may be residue from chemicals or buildup on the sprayer parts. Be sure to properly drain and clean the sprayer parts before performing maintenance. Keep small items like this poly cup out of reach of pets and children.

Special Considerations

Along with the poly cup, it would be best to replace all the other small parts on the B&G Sprayer rather than just a single one at one time. Set a maintenance schedule for your sprayer and change out all the parts in one shot to save time so your B&G sprayer can function like it's supposed to.

NP-277 Polypropylene Cup
This is the plunger cup for B&G (and similar) compressed air sprayers. It is a direct replacement and fast to remove/replace. Having the lube with it in the kit is a great idea because you should never replace a cup without keeping it lubed.
