Nova 40W by DOW/CORTEVA is a system fungicide that controls various diseases affecting fruit crops. Nova 40 is gentle to crops and beneficial to insects. The fungicide not only removes diseases from a plant but also prevents any future risks of infection with every application.

Tools Needed

To use Nova 40 Fungicide you will need a professional spray rig to make large volume treatments to cropsites.

How to Use

  • Step 1: Determine how much Nova 40 you need be measuring the acreage of the area to be treated. To do this, get the square footage first by measuring (in feet) and multiplying the area length times the width, then divide by 43,560. (Length x width = square footage / 43,560 = acreage). A typical rate is between 2.5 to 5 oz. per acre but it varies depending on what disease you are treating.
  • Step 2: Mix Nova 40 Fungicide into a sprayer of your choice. Agitate the sprayer to ensure the product is well-mixed.
  • Step 3: Spray the fungicide mixture onto the leaf of the plant, placing the sprayer on a fan spray setting for even coverage. Repeat applications can be made at 14 to 21 day intervals for continued control and prevention of vulnerable plants.

Where to Use

Nova 40 Fungicide is primarily used to treat croplands and agricultural settings to protect various fruits but it can also be used on ornamentals and certain areas of landscape turf.

When to Use

Use Nova 40 when your crops or plants are suffering from diseases such as powdery mildew, blight, rot or leaf spot.
