Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide
Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide is a highly effective, selective insecticide that provides reliable control over eggs and early mite stages through contact and ingestion within commercial greenhouses, shade houses, and nurseries. Once applied, it will continue to protect foliage for 21 to 45 days.
04/10/26
Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide, manufactured by OHP, is a unique suspension concentrate miticide that targets the eggs and early life stages of common mites on commercial ornamental plants grown in greenhouses, shade houses, and nurseries.
By controlling both contact and ingestion, this product disrupts mite development and prevents populations from exploding. Instead of constantly chasing after new hatchlings, applicators cut the cycle short. Instead of killing indiscriminately, Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide targets mites specifically, reducing the risk of harming beneficial insects and pollinators that may be part of your integrated pest management (IPM) program.
Mites are some of the most difficult pests to control because of their rapid reproduction and ability to hide on the undersides of leaves. Traditional miticides often fall short because they only target adults, allowing eggs to hatch and restart the infestation. Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide solves this problem by focusing on the life stages that most products miss. By controlling eggs and immature mites through contact and ingestion, this product prevents population flare-ups and gives growers an upper hand in managing mites.
Tools Needed
A chemigation system will be required.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Apply 2 to 8 fl. oz. of Notavo SC Ovicide and Miticide per 100 gallons of water. You can also use 1/8 to 1/2 tsp. of product per 1 gallon of water. For extended residual control, apply 8 fl. oz. of product per 100 gallons of water per acre. Do not apply more than 8 fl. oz. of product per acre.
- Step 2: Before adding to the chemigation tank or injector, pre-mix the required amount of Notavo SC in a bucket with water. Stir or agitate to ensure it’s fully dispersed. Add the pre-mixed solution to the chemigation tank or injector system, and fill the rest with clean water to your desired total volume.
- Step 3: Let the system run to fully deliver the product over the foliage. Apply only once for each crop cycle in greenhouse, and saran and shade house culture. For outdoor ornamentals, apply no more than once per crop cycle occurring within a year.

It is most effective in mite management when applied at the first sign of mite activity and egg laying. At that time, the susceptible female mites, eggs, and first stage mites largely or totally make up the population.
