NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent

NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent, manufactured by Nature's Mace, is a high-performance, EPA-exempt granular repellent specially engineered to protect landscapes, flowerbeds, open-air hotels, and other outdoor areas from snake, iguana, lizard, and gecko activity.

This dual-action, professional-grade formula uses a blend of clove oil, cedarwood oil, cinnamon oil, and soybean oil to disrupt both olfactory (smell-based) and contact-based behaviors: It confuses snakes’ Jacobson’s organ, a sensory receptor that detects chemical cues in the air, making it difficult for them to locate prey or orient themselves. It also irritates their skin, creating an unpleasant environment that encourages them to move away naturally.

NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent is an effective all-season granular repellent designed to deter all types of snakes and iguanas found throughout the United States for up to 40 to 60 days. Thanks to soybean oil, the repellent adheres to soil and surface particles, allowing it to resist rain, irrigation, and temperature swings. That means NM PRO remains active through varying weather conditions, from summer humidity to winter frost.

How to Use

Snake Applications

• Step 1: It's important to get snakes out before application, as they will be trapped inside the treated zones. Avoid contact in handling of snakes if you are unfamiliar with their species and their proper handling. 
• Step 2: Apply a 20-inch band next to buildings, homes, playgrounds, and other areas to keep snakes from entering. You can also apply 3-foot bands at the perimeter of the property.
• For hard-to-reach areas such as under porches, decks, and crawl spaces, put the product in small pouches. Put NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent in 6-8 little pouches more than a golf ball size amount in each pouch. Throw or drop several of the pouches in the center of the area where the snakes could be resting. Snakes should start clearing out from under this area quickly. Once you are certain they are gone from these hard-to-reach areas, apply a 24-inch band around the perimeter and/or the area where they are going in and out.
• Step 3: Reapply in 30 days to continue to keep snakes away.

Iguana and Lizard Applications

• Step 1: Form a border 12 inches away from the edge of the ornamental bed; sprinkle a 20-inch band around flowerbeds and gardens. Apply heavy enough to see visibly. For trees, apply a 3-foot ring around the base of the trees to prevent them from climbing to get to any vegetation. You can also create a 20-inch perimeter band around pool areas, gazebos, lanai, sunrooms, and porches that have decorative planted beds and landscaped areas.
• Step 2: Reapply every 40 to 60 days.

Where to Use

NM Professional Granular Snake and Iguana Repellent can be used next to buildings, playgrounds, flowerbeds, gardens, trees, pool areas, gazebos, lanai, sunrooms, and porches.

It can also be used inside open-air hotels and office buildings where iguanas roam and eat landscapes and plants. Apply directly inside of beds and/or planted flowers.

Do not use around food and feed crops.

When to Use

Apply before or during active snake, lizard, iguana, and gecko activity.

Special Considerations

Avoid using a broadcast spreader, as it does not effectively control the band strip amount properly.

While this product does not wash off in normal rainfall or irrigation, it should be lightly reapplied immediately following periods of heavy downpour or consistent rainfall.
