NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer, manufactured by Farmers Organic, is a natural slow-release granular fertilizer formulated to promote growth in all plants while also humanely repelling deer and rabbits for 4-6 weeks. As a result, treated foliage will have enough time to grow to better withstand animal feeding activities.

This excellent granular product contains a balanced mix of ingredients for plants such as shrubs, which helps them to take up nutrients as they grow without burning. These long-lasting granules slowly releases over a 4-6 week time frame, minimizing plant and animal care efforts.

NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer can be applied with a handheld spreader, push spreader, or broadcast spreader.

How to Use

• Step 1: Determine how much NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). Divide that number by 2,500 to get the recommended total bags of product to use for your lawn. Take notice of what season it is before treating lawns with this product. To treat warm-seasoned grasses in April, June, September, or October, use 1 bag (36 lbs.) of NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer per 2,500 sq. ft. To treat cool-seasoned grasses in June, July, September, or December, apply 1 bag (36 lbs.) of product per 2,500 sq. ft. For new lawns, apply 1 bag (36 lbs.) of product per 2,500 sq. ft. For seed beds, sodding, and sprigging, apply 2 bags (72 lbs.) of product per 2,500 sq. ft. For new trees and shrubs, use 1/2 lb. of product per foot of plant height. Established trees will use 5 lbs. of product per inch of trunk diameter. Established shrubs will use 5 lbs. of product per 100 sq. ft. For established roses, apply 6 cups (2 lbs.) of product per 100 sq. ft. For planting of vegetables or during its fruit/vegetable growth, apply 15 cups (5 lbs.) of product per 100 sq. ft. Refer to the label for specific application rates and restrictions.
• Step 2: When its time to apply, calibrate your spreader to the proper setting then load the proper amount of NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer.
• Step 3: Before laying sod or spreading seed on new lawns, mix NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer into 2" of soil. To treat new trees and shrubs, you will need to mix with soil at bottom of hole prior to planting. Application to established trees will need the product poured into holes 1" wide and 12" deep, spaced 2 ft. apart. If there is a drip line, place holes along the line. For all other plants, spread the product evenly over soil, work into the soil. Repeat applications after 4-6 weeks.

Where to Use

NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer can be used on the soil around all plants, trees, shrubs, gardens, new lawns, established lawns, seed beds, roses, and vegetables.

This product may also be used on cool-seasoned and warm-seasoned grasses.

This product cannot be applied near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.

When to Use

Depending on the turf, NitroOrganic 4-3-0 Fertilizer can be applied in April, June, July, September, October, or December. New lawns can be treated after several mowings and before laying sod or spreading seed. Once annual plants are up they can be treated. Roses may be treated with this product when they are well-established.

Do not apply if heavy rainfall is present.
