Free Shipping on All Orders

Nitrile rubber is a co-polymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene. It offers excellent physical-hazard resistance to punctures, cuts, snags and abrasion. Nitrile rubber has considerable resistance to oils, fuels, and certain organic solvents like pesticides.

For Use In

Use the nitrile chemical gloves to prevent caustic and hazardous chemicals from contacting your skin. When used in conjunction with other proper PPE you will be properly protected when mixing and applying chemicals.

Application

Nitrile gloves will protect your hands and forearms from harsh chemicals. The cloth lining prevents sweat buildup associated with rubber gloves. These gloves can be reused and washed for multiple different types of applications.

NITRILE CHEMICAL GLOVES ARE THE HAND PROTECTION YOU NEED

When handling and doing your own DIY Lawn and Pest Control it’s extremely important to always wear the right PPE equipment (personal protective equipment). (Click here to browse our protective equipment products)

Although there are a plethora of options when choosing the right chemicals and pest control products (some of which could be 100% natural), the right precautions must always be taken into account to protect your skin from these chemicals which could be hazardous to your skin.

Aside from wearing long sleeve shirts, long pants, and rubber boots, it is imperative that your hands and eyes are always protected.

Remember to always read all labels and precautions in products before handling and mixing to find the recommended PPE required.

Even when labels don’t specify which PPE is recommended we always advise to use hand protection when handling with any type of professional pesticide product.

In general unlined, liquid-proof neoprene, butyl, or nitrile gloves that extend to the forearms are best when dealing with insecticide and pesticide products1.

WHAT DOES NITRILE MEAN AND WHAT ARE NITRILE GLOVES MADE OF?

Nitrile is short for acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, which unlike latex, is a durable synthetic rubber2. Because this synthetic rubber is created from the acrylonitrile monomer2 it makes them extremely resistant to chemicals.

WHAT DO NITRILE GLOVES PROTECT AGAINST

Aside from providing a better alternative to latex gloves that don’t provide the necessary protection when dealing with professional products and could cause latex allergies, Nitrile gloves are excellent for use with solvents, oils, greases and some acids and bases3

Nitrile gloves provide excellent permeation breakthrough times generally greater than 8 hours in the following materials and chemicals: Lactic acid, Oxalic acid, Perchloric acid, Phosphoric acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Ammonium nitrate, Ferric chloride, Potassium cyanide, Potassium dichromate, Potassium permanganate, Sodium cyanide, Sodium thiosulfate, Gasoline, Naphthalene, Hexanes, Kerosene, Naphtha, Allyl alcohol, Isopropyl alcohol, Ethanolamine, Methylamine, Triethanolamine, Hydrazine, Hydrogen Peroxide, Lubricating oil, Photo solutions, and Mercury6.

WHY USE NITRILE GLOVES

Not only are these gloves resistant to most types of chemicals, their durability makes them specifically resistant to abrasions, punctures, snags, and tears4 which could occur when using less resistant gloves.

They are designed for heavy use but still provide dexterity and sensitivity. So not only do they provide the grip needed when handling heavy duty equipment they also give you chemical protection if spills were to occur in your hands.

Our gloves can be used whenever chemicals or professional products need to be handled and are one of the most recommended material across a variety of professions such as in the medical, industrial, laboratory, and electronics industry5.

Our gloves also come equipped with an interior cloth lining that provides extra protection and an extra-added level of comfort that prevents sweat buildup when mixing and applying chemicals.

Nitrile gloves also have improved heat dissipation than latex gloves, which not only reduce sweating but also skin irritation if irritation were to occur5.

Our gloves can be washed and reused for multiple uses and varying types of applications.

HOW TO USE

Before using our gloves take care to read all labels and precaution for recommended PPE gloves for the specific product you plan on using.

It is advised that you first check gloves for physical damage such as swelling, shrinking, cracking, discoloration, tears or pin holes where chemical materials might enter and affect the skin.

After putting on gloves a best practice to put into effect is to wash gloves with water constantly to remove chemicals from gloves and avoid contact with skin.

To remove the gloves wash thoroughly with water before removing, and when removing the gloves, make sure there is no contact with skin to avoid irritations of any kind.

CONCLUSION

We recommend our Green Nitrile Chemical Gloves because they are superior to the common latex and polyethylene gloves you’ll find at your local grocery store, as they do not offer the right protection, dexterity, and comfort when mixing and handling professional pesticide products1.
