Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative

Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative, manufactured by Nisus, is a unique clear wood preservative blend that will protect interior and exterior wood from pests like termites and helps prevent wood decay and dry rot. 

This specially formulated product does not alter the color or stain the bare wood allowing applicators to change the color to their choice during repainting or remolding jobs. However, Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative must be applied to bare wood first then dried before these activities can take place. 

Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative is a long-lasting termiticide, fungicide, and wood preservative in a patented penetrant formulation. This product stands out from other products due to the active ingredient being a mineral salt, which does not break down over time making pest and wood decay control more dependable. 

Tools Needed

Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative can be applied with a brush or a low-pressure sprayer like a handheld pump sprayer.

How to Use

• Step 1: Before applying Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative, ensure that the wood surface is clean, dry, and free of dirt, dust, and debris. Remove any existing coatings or finishes that may interfere with the penetration of the preservative.
• Step 2: Apply Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative until an even coated is made. When applying more than one coat, wait at least 20 minutes between applications.
• Step 3: Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative may be applied as needed to exterior unfinished wood surfaces. Interior surface treatments of existing wood are considered permanent and do not require reapplication or coating except in situations involving repeated moisture contact or high humidity, such as shower stalls, bathhouses, saunas, etc

Where to Use

Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative can be applied to bare, dry interior and exterior wood. 

Do not apply in food serving areas while food is exposed.

When to Use

Use Nisus PenaShield Wood Preservative when you wish to control and prevent wood-destroying pests and wood decay. 

Apply only when wood is bare, and dry.

Special Considerations

When spraying attics or overhead interior areas, cover all surfaces below the treated area with plastic sheeting. 

When applying PenaShield to exterior surfaces, cover nearby plants and grasses with plastic.
