Free Shipping on All Orders

Nimitz is a brand new nematicide from Adama for agricultural and turf use. It is used to control nematodes in crops and turf grasses. NIMITZ can be used to control Root-knot (Meloidogyne spp.), Sting (Belonolaimus spp.) and Lesion nematodes (Pratylenchus spp.) in transplanted crops (Crop Groups 8 and 9: including cucumbers, melons (cantaloupes, watermelon, honeydew), squash, tomatoes, okra, eggplant and peppers (bell and non-bell). A successful treatment with NIMITZ will not eradicate nematode populations and does not control bacteria, insects, viruses, weeds or pathogens which attack plants in treated areas.

Target Pests

Nimitz kills harmful Nematodes

Applications must be broadcast following irrigation in order to get into the root zone and soil. Make applications at a rate of 60-120 pounds per acre. Make soil applications only in accordance with directions and conditions of use described in this label. NIMITZ does not provide residual control of nematodes. Do not apply more than two times a year all depending on application rate per crop, and no more than 240 lb. of product per acre, per year (365 days).

Do not plant any crops/plants such as flowers into treated land for 365 days after application of the product.

The use of NIMITZ controls nematodes only when they are present at the time of application. It will not control pests introduced into the soil after treatment, does not provide season long control, and does not guarantee pest free crops at harvest. Effectiveness may be reduced if used in muck or high clay content soils.

How often should this product be used to keep nematodes away?
Martin D on Aug 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: For nematode control in Bermudagrass, St. Augustinegrass, Zoysiagrass, Centipedegrass,
Seashore Paspalum, Tall Fescue, and Creeping Bentgrass on Golf Courses, Sports Fields,
Commercial Turfgrass Areas, Sod Farms and Residential Turfgrass Lawns, Nimitz should be applied 2 times per year. Do reapply within 30 days.
Will I need 3 or 4 of these to treat 15 acres?
Roger on Jul 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The rate for application is 60-120 pounds of Nimitz product per acre. Treated areas must
be irrigated following applications in order to get the active ingredient into the root zone and soil. Irrigation amounts are variable depending on turfgrass thatch/density but generally 0.5 inch of water is adequate. Aerifications prior (1-10 days) to application have been shown to increase speed and improve control.
Any type of aerification
(solid tine, hollow tine, core
or plugs or verti-cutting)
will improve product
performance and improve
soil and root penetration.
We had a soil sample done of our lawn and have Lance Nematodes. Moderate risk. Probably 1/4 acre. How much of your product will we need? Can it be purchased in smaller amounts? We are having new sod put down in a couple weeks. Thank you

Nematicide can provide season-long control. Quali-Pro NIMITZ Pro

inactive and die. Applications should be uniformly broadcasted overtop
turfgrass suspected to have nematodes or with a history of nematodes.
