Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator
Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator is a powerful insect growth regulator that stops pests before they can grow, reproduce, or cause serious damage. It’s a smart, plant-based solution that protects crops while keeping beneficial insects safe.
11/04/25
Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator, manufactured by Certis USA, is an efficient insect growth regulator that kills pests at their most vulnerable stages, disrupting their growth and preventing future infestations in vegetables, fruits, turf, and other crops.
It is a botanical insect growth regulator (IGR) made from neem oil extract, specifically azadirachtin, which is the active ingredient. It’s a natural compound extracted from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica) - a plant with centuries of pest-fighting history in Ayurvedic and organic farming traditions. Neemix 4.5 interrupts their development, stopping them from maturing or reproducing. That means fewer pests now and even fewer later. This makes it incredibly useful for long-term integrated pest management (IPM) plans.
Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator is a botanical and biodegradable insect growth regulator that is gentle on beneficial insects yet effective against troublesome crop pests. Instead of chasing adult pests with knockdown sprays, this product breaks the breeding cycle. That means fewer generations and longer periods between treatments.
Tools Needed
It can be applied with a chemigation system, handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, spray rig, or aerial application equipment.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). To treat commercial lawns and turf, apply 0.75 to 9 fl. oz. of Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator per 2 to 5 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. For broader applications in turf, use 1 quart or 3 gallons of product per 50 to 100 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
 - Step 2: Fill the sprayer tank with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and then pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake well until mixed. Do not store for later use after mixing.
 - Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of the plant, including the undersides and tops of leaves where pests often reside. Repeat application every seven days or as needed.

Where to Use
Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator can be used for vegetables, fruits, turf (Including commercial lawns), and other crops grown in the field or mushroom houses.
Do not use on Comice Pears and other known sensitive pear varieties.
When to Use
Application should be made when pests first appear and are in their early larval or nymph stages.
It can be applied up to and including the day of harvest (zero pre-harvest interval).
Do not apply to wilted or otherwise stressed plants, or to newly transplanted material prior to root establishment.
Safety Information
Neemix 4.5 Insect Growth Regulator is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Keep people and pets out of the treated area for 4 hours at least or more until the solution has dried.
Special Considerations
