NativeKlean Herbicide
NativeKlean Herbicide is a exceptional pre- and post-emergent herbicide that controls 100 invasive and noxious weeds in native and natural areas.
NativeKlean Herbicide, manufactured by DOW/CORTEVA, is a reliable emulisifiable concentrate herbicide that provides a low-maintenance weed solution over various terrains.
Contains two active ingredients that effectively controls a broad-spectrum of weeds such as cocklebur, canada thistle, and ragweed within 30 days. This product's advanced chemisty ensures season-long control of the toughest weed infestations for more than 3 months after application.
NativeKlean Herbicide is low-use rate herbicide that reduces labor with one simple application per season. Resulting in better native vegetation and reduced likelihood of wildlife activity.
Tools Needed
NativeKlean Herbicide can be used with a handheld pump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or spray rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much NativeKlean Herbicide to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and widht of the treatment area in feet then multiply them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). General applications will use 0.8 to 2 pints of NativeKlean Herbicide per 10 gallons of water per acre. Refer the label for specific rates.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add measured amount of NativeKlean Herbicide, then pour in the remaining half of water. Agitate the spray tank until mixed.
- Step 3: Ensure thorough coverage of weeds while avoiding contact with desirable plants.
Where to Use
NativeKlean Herbicide can be used in native or natural areas that are not regularly mowed or maintained.
Do not use within 250 feet of homeowner/residential properties.
When to Use
Apply NativeKlean Herbicide in fall or spring when weeds are actively growing, with a maximum of one application per year.

Keith's Pro Tips | "The bioassay can be initiated starting a minimum of one year after herbicide application. In areas treated with this product, plant a small area with desired seeds. Observe the newly seeded desired seedlings for symptoms of herbicidal activity such as poor stand (effect on seed germination), chlorosis (yellowing), necrosis (dead leaves or shoots), or stunting (reduced growth). If herbicidal symptoms do not occur, the treated area can be planted with the desired seeds. If there is apparent herbicidal activity, do not plant the treated area to the desired seeds; plant only to native grasses or plants that show tolerance to this herbicide." |
Product Drawbacks | NativeKlean Herbicide will require soil testing before replanting in treated areas. |
