Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator
Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator is a professional triple-action turf growth regulator that delivers efficient, economical Poa annua suppression and turf regulation in golf courses.
11/04/25
Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator, manufactured by Sepro, is an effective and economical turf growth regulator that doesn’t just regulate golf course turf it transforms it into denser stands while improving the color.
At its core, this product is a triple-action turf growth regulator that offers something no other product on the market does: the combined power of flurprimidol, paclobutrazol, and trinexapac-ethyl in a single, balanced formulation. Together, they deliver more comprehensive growth suppression, better Poa annua control, and reduced clipping and mowing, all while remaining gentle on turf and your budget.
Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator is a scientifically balanced formulation that enhances the benefits of each active ingredient, minimizes potential negative effects like bronzing or rebound growth, and provides longer-lasting, more uniform suppression across a wide range of turf species. Whether you're managing perennial cool-season turf or hybrid Bermudagrass, Musketeer gives you broad-spectrum growth control and targeted Poa annua suppression all from a single application.
Tools Needed
A spray rig will be needed.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator to use by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. Find the square footage by measuring the treatment area's length and width in feet, then multiplying them together (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide it by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acres). Depending on the cool-seasoned turf, use 12 to 40 fl. oz. of Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator per 20 to 100 gallons of water per acre for repeat applications. For repeat applications on hybrid Bermudagrass, mix 20 to 30 fl. oz. of product per 20 to 100 gallons of water per acre. Refer to the product label for specific application rates and restrictions.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank with half the amount of water, add the recommended rate of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until the solution is well-mixed.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of the leaves until wet, but not to the point of runoff. Water-in within 24 hours of application to limit surface movement, but not to the point of runoff. Repeat every 2 to 6 weeks.
Where to Use
Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator can be used for cool-seasoned turf and hybrid Bermudagrass on golf courses.
Do not apply to sod farms or turfgrasses grown for seed, including plants or plant materials grown for sale or research purposes.
Do not use on residential lawns or to turf within rights-of-ways.
When to Use
Turfgrass should be well-established and actively growing prior to application. Make spring applications after the resumption of active seasonal growth of turfgrass. Schedule the final application of the season a minimum of 4 weeks before the onset of inactive grass growth or winter dormancy.
Safety Information
Musketeer Turf Growth Regulator is safe for people and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.

| Keith's Pro Tips | "Determine if this product is fine with other pesticides by performing a jar test. Using a quart jar, add the proportionate amounts of the products to 1 quart of water. Add wettable powders and water-dispersible granular products first, then liquid flowables, and emulsifiable concentrates last. After thoroughly mixing, let stand for at least 5 minutes. If the combination remains mixed or can be remixed readily, it is physically compatible." |
