MSO Select Surfactant, manufactured by Prime Source LLC, is a unique adjuvant that can be used with any pesticide requiring the use of an MSO, ESO, MVO, or other oil-based adjuvants to easily penetrate the waxy cuticles of weeds.
Once this product is mixed in, it will quickly improve the performance and effects of the spray applications, by enhancing the chosen pesticides active ingredients penetration rate into hard-to-treat foliage.
MSO Select Surfactant is an easy to mix in surfactant that helps to slow the drying time of pesticides it is mixed with for better product uptake against pests, diseases, and more.
Tools Needed
To use MSO Select Surfactant, you will need to mix this product with a pesticide that requires or suggests the use of an MSO, ESO, MVO or other oil-based adjuvants. For example, herbicides, defoliants, desiccants, insecticides, fungicides, or miticides.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine if MSO Select Surfactant can be used by reading your chosen pesticides product label. For herbicides, defoliants, desiccants use a rate of 0.5-1% v/v of MSO Select Surfactant. For insecticides, fungicides, miticides use a rate of 0.0625-0.125% v/v of product. For small spray equipment, use 1/2 oz. of MSO Select Surfactant per gallon of finished spray solution. Must not exceed 5% v/v of total spray solution.
- Step 2: Fill the spray tank more than half full of water, then add the measured amount of the selected pesticide. Next, add the proper amount of MSO Select Surfactant and the remaining half of water. Agitate the sprayer until both products are thoroughly dispersed.
- Step 3: Spray the pesticide mixed with MSO Select Surfactant according to its product label instructions. Apply the mixed product material within 36 hours of mixing.
