MSM 25 OD Herbicide, manufactured by CSI, is a flowable suspended concentrate herbicide that controls emerged weeds and deciduous trees in warm-seasoned turfgrass within several days.
This herbicide contains the active ingredient Metsulfuron methyl 25.0%, which works to rapidly travel throughout the target weeds system to its roots for a complete elimiantion.
Once applied this odor free herbicide MSM 25 OD Herbicide provides excellent control over hard to remove weeds like plaintain, henbit, and more.
Tools Needed
MSM 25 OD Herbicide can be applied with a backpack sprayer or handheld sprayer.
How to Use:
- Step 1: Determine how much MSM 25 OD Herbicide to use by calculating the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet then multiply (length X width = square footage). For acreage, take the square footage and divide by one acre (square footage / 43,560 sq. ft. = acre). For ornamental turfs, use 0.28 to 2.23 oz. of MSM 25 OD Herbicide per 80 gallons of water per acre.
- Step 2: Fill your sprayer halfway with water, then add measured amount of MSM 25 OD Herbicide, pour remaining half of water. Close sprayer lid and shake to ensure even mix.
- Step 3: Spray the top and bottom of weeds until thoroughly covered. Repeat applications may be needed when 4 to 6 weeks have passed after first treatment.
Where to Use
Use MSM 25 OD Herbicide in warm-seasoned turf within industrial turf, non-crop areas, ornamental lawns, cemetaries, and residential areas.
When to Use
MSM 25 OD Herbicide may be used on weeds when turfgrass is well-established and is not suffering from any stress factors.

MSM 25 OD Hebricide is safe to use around children and pets when applied according to the product label instructions. Always wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when mixing and applying this product.
Special Considerations
An application of MSM 25OD may cause temporary discoloration (chlorosis) of the grasses. Use the lower specified rates for minimum discoloration.
