Mosquito Barrier
Mosquito Barrier is a powerful, all-natural garlic-based mosquito repellent that repels adult mosquitoes and other pests, suffocates larvae in standing water, and provides up to a month of chemical-free protection in residential yards.
09/26/25
Mosquito Barrier, manufactured by Garlic Research Labs, is an all-natural, safe, and effective liquid mosquito insecticide that, with just one spraying, keeps mosquitoes out of yards and away from homes 24 hours a day for nearly a month.
Unlike store-bought garlic used in cooking, Mosquito Barrier uses what’s often referred to as super garlic, a much more potent variety packed with natural sulfur compounds. While the smell of garlic disappears to humans within minutes, mosquitoes can detect it up to 10,000 times better than people can. To them, your yard becomes a no-fly zone.
Mosquito Barrier is an all-natural, mosquito repellent that provides a three-pronged mosquito control approach: repels adults for weeks, coats plants with garlic discouraging mosquitoes from landing, and suffocates suffocates larvae in standing water when mixed with canola oil. Just one spray can keep residential yards mosquito-free for up to a month, all without harming family, pets, or pollinators.
Tools Needed
You can use a hose-end sprayer, backpack sprayer, handheld pump sprayer, or fogging machine (hot or cold misting system for fogging).
If you plan to treat aquatic sites, you will need to mix with canola oil.
Stickers, such as any vegetable oil, may be added to the mix to help hold the product on the plants.
How to Use
- Step 1: Shake the Mosquito Barrier container thoroughly before mixing. For light infestations, use 8 teaspoons of Mosquito Barrier per gallon of water. For heavy infestations, add 16 teaspoons of product per gallon of water. For hose-end spray attachments, fill the bottle half full of Mosquito Barrier. Then fill with water. Set dial on 2 ounces per gallon, or 12 teaspoons per gallon. If no dial is on the sprayer, fill the sprayer with 20 ounces of Mosquito Barrier and the rest with water. For fogging machines, apply 12 ounces of product per gallon of water.
- Step 2: Fill the sprayer with half the amount of water, add the proper amount of product, and pour in the remaining half of the water. Close the tank lid and shake until well-mixed. It is not recommended to allow excess product to sit in the tank overnight.
- Step 3: Use a heavy mist spray and apply to all grass, ornamentals, flowers, vegetable areas, and up into trees sufficient to cover the lower limbs. Spray any standing water, puddles, etc. Spray all foliage thoroughly. If you have leftover spray material, spray the area again. Be sure to cover the underside of leaves.
Where to Use
Mosquito Barrier can be used on plants, grass, shrubs, flowers, ornamentals, trees, vines, and in any standing water in the area, including water under porches and decks. It may also be used in animal barns, stalls, and resting areas.
Standing water, puddles, and other water sites - only when mixed with canola oil.

When to Use
Spray between the hours of 8 AM and 11 AM or late in the afternoon such as 5 PM to 7 PM. Avoid spraying in the heat of the day.
Do not spray on windy days or if rain is expected within 24 hours.
